It was good. They send out their people. They have furnaces that would fit what I needed and then I selected what's on my budget. Price was good. I'm pleased with my product. They were responsive.

Pros and cons. This place can get irritatingly busy and it's often hard to find someone who knows what they're talking about. Hours are great and the rental services have been a life saver. I've spent a small fortune here over the past year. I wish it was a more pleasant experience to visit. Caution: it's impossible to leave this store without spending at least $100. I wish there was a viable locally- owned alternative. Quality can be spotty, but they've got the best paint in town.

The store is well-stocked. The help means well, but they frequently don't know what they're talking about. I am an amateur and there have been many times when I knew more than the staff about a particular item or type of product. And the worst is when somebody really takes an interest in helping you, but is totally ignorant, so they lead you on a merry chase around the store with no result. Also, there are quite a few people working there who are much more interested in chatting with one another than they are helping a customer. All in all, service is mediocre at best.

The installation went well but since then they have not been attentive to things that need to be fix. They are not good with follow up when we call.

The gentleman who came out to measure the jamb width was polite and professional. However, he told me that Home Depot would not be able to do the job. Because of the age of the garage the installation would require full reframing and building up the threshold - and Home Depot only does basic installation, which included adjusting the door to ensure operation, installing the locksets, installing interior casing and exterior trim, and necessary caulking/shimming.

I went to Home Depot to see if I could get information about an instrument to clean the lint out of a dryer vent, and possibly buy such a device. First I had to find out if such a device existed. I was shunted from one department to another. It was a grand runaround. Later I was advised not to ever ask any HD employee about products because they aren't trained or knowledgeable. I should go to a small independent store.
