 + -1 moreExcellent work. Customer service a bit on the gruff side. Good selection of woods, and they were willing to work with us to replicate woodwork used in our 100 year old house so that we could fill in lost areas.
Description of Work: Purchase wood for rebuilding our 100 year old staircase and re-doing some of the trim to match old trim in our house. Also had custom pieces milled there.

 + -1 moreTHEY CARRY DIFFERENT SPECIES OF HARDWOOD THAN YOUR TYPICAL LUMBER YARD. FOR EXAMPLE, I SAW (DID NOT PURCHASE) AFRICAN MAHOGANY. HARDWOOD RESOURCES CAN CUSTOM CUT WOODWORK, IF NECESSARY, TO TRY TO MATCH EXISTING ANTIQUE/PERIOD WOOD. THE SELECTION THEY HAVE IN STOCK FOR A LOT OF OLDER CHICAGO HOMES IS GREAT. I WAS ABLE TO MATCH OUR DOOR CASINGS FOR OUR 1892 HOME WITHOUT PLACING A CUSTOM ORDER. THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND LOVE THEIR BUSINESS.
Description of Work: PURCHASED WOODWORK TO MATCH EXISTING ANTIQUE WOODWORK IN THE HOME. PURCHASED MAHOGANY TRIM FOR INTERIOR DOOR FRAMING. HARDWOOD RESOURCES HAS A GOOD AMOUNT OF CROWN MOLDINGS, DOOR CASINGS, ETC. THEY HAVE ALL SORTS OF WOODS AS WELL AS MDF FOR ITEMS LIKE BASEBOARDS, AND CROWN MOLDINGS.
