Went well.

I was very pleased with their service. The handymen were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They came in on time, got right to work and did it well. I will be calling HandiCo again and again, now to perform larger projects in my new condo! It was a real blessing to have found this company.

Horribly. When caulking the bathtub, he broke the ceramic tiles on the wall and started getting ******. Instead of replacing the toilet flange, he just tightened the joints without even getting to the flange. Instead of fixing the leaky sink, he just put a bunch of plumber's putty underneath.

Great company all around. Demond did a fantastic job with our minor lighting project. Everything looks perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

We have used this company five or six times before over the last few years. Each time they got more and more difficult to deal with. We had good experiences with the workers but terrible experiences with the office people. Very unprofessional and unresponsive to even setting up a service call. We won’t use them ever again.

This was first time using HandiCo, and I was very pleased with their responsiveness, professionalism and the quality of work done. Previously had used neighborhood handyman, who is very inexpensive, but the work is poor. I do not use him anymore and HandiCo was recommended by a neighbor. I am lining up more jobs that need to be done and definitely will use HandiCo again.

Handyman was punctual and worked quickly. I was really pleased with his work. It was solid job and aesthetically pleasing as well.

I have used HandiCo Inc. for many jobs and they always do fantastic work. They offer complete perfection. Each job has been completed with true excellence. Their people are always on time and get the job done perfectly with no time wasted. No matter what I ask them to do, they have no problem doing it-and I have asked them to some difficult jobs. I have also asked them to do some small jobs. It doesn’t matter. They get it right no matter the size and scope of the work. They always take their shoes off when they enter the house. They always clean up after the job is done. I am a very high maintenance person. I want perfection and with HandiCo Inc. I get it.

Handico responded quickly to my online inquiry. After exchanging a few emails to get the details down, we had something scheduled and the job was completed just a few days after I contacted them. Andrew arrived during the promised window of time in the afternoon and was easy to work with. We're happy with the work that was done and would definitely hire again the next time something comes up. The reason we had a hole in our wall in the first place and needed new insulation was because we had a pipe freeze and a plumber had to open the wall to thaw it. Given the cold weather in Chicago it was especially helpful to have this fixed up and the wall closed soon. Hopefully the insulation and vent will prevent our problem from recurring.

Fantastic. Demond arrived on time, was efficient and knowledgeable about everything that had to be done. The company allowed 3 hours for him to complete the work; he finished in 2 hours and 45 minutes and I was charged just for the time he worked.

An excellent experience that started with the initial phone call. I needed a bathroom fan replaced and had questions about that process, so I was transferred to a scheduler who knew his stuff. Other handymen had told me that to replace the fan, drywall needed to be cut out and replaced, which would run $600-700 plus the cost of the fan. The scheduler said that some fan models had motor replacement kits and to check that first. The kit cost me $110 (could have been cheaper but I bought directly from the manufacturer), and the handyman installed it in about 15 minutes while he was at my house doing other stuff. What a savings. Demond called me day of and said he was making good time and if he could come early. Once he showed up, he took stock of my list and went directly to work. A couple of items were problematic - I have organized closets and one of the shelving unit had slid down. Demond showed me where it was broken, told me what he could do to fix it, and explained why going back to the closet installer would be the best option. A slow running faucet needed a new cartridge which he said he would have to drive and get, but he told me the specialty store to go to if I wanted to save the money and take care of it myself. Everything else on my list (more than I described above) was done in about an hour and a half, but I felt as if paying the two hour minimum charge was a deal. $96/hour sounds really expensive, and I suppose it is, but if you make a list of those annoying issues that you don't have the right tool, knowledge, or time to take care of, it's a good deal. They move fast. Very professional.

After a walk-through explaining what needed to be done, the work was quoted quickly and straightforwardly by project manager, Matt, and scheduled in a little over two weeks. It was indicated the work would take 4 days to complete. The painters arrived promptly with Matt at 7 AM on the first day of work and they showed up each day around the same time after that. They repaired all the minor damage to all areas of the walls and doors and painted cleanly around all the fixtures. All materials and equipment were provided. The work was completed early on the fourth day and looks fantastic. They left the unit cleaner than when they arrived. I have some other work (painting and otherwise) that I might want to do soon, and I will definitely go back to HandiCo for my future needs!

HandiCo did a great job for a very reasonable price. Scheduling went smoothly, and Demond arrived right on time. He was professional and personable, making me feel very confident that he would do the work well. I initially planned to just have the garbage disposal replaced, but he caught the corroded drain pipes and was very up front about the additional work. I had previously had a plumber out to bid on the work who was going to charge over $1,000 and was up selling me on a membership and additional work without giving a good sense of why I needed either. Demond did the work and got the materials (except the new disposal I already had) for just over $200 and rounded down on his time. I’d happily use HandiCo again, and will talk to my condo association about using them for other jobs in our buildings.

Great I would use again

The work was completed professionally and on time. Scheduling and invoicing was timely and complete.

I've turned to HandiCo frequently for at least 10 years now, and they have never disappointed me. They've always delivered exemplary service at a reasonable price. The staff--Mike & Matt, Andy & Pablo, this time around--are unfailingly courteous, accommodating, punctual, reliable, professional, and highly competent. They're real problem solvers. Pablo completed projects #1 & #2; his knowledge and skill re: upkeep of old [100+ years] buildings assured me that my home was in good hands, and the craftsmanship and care he invested in the repairs exceeded my expectations. Project #3 has proven more complicated and has required three attempts (the second & third of them "gratis") to complete. Matt has persisted in trying to solve the problem without replacing the sliding drawer entirely, but has sketched out an alternative plan if the third attempt doesn't do the job. What's most important is that I've learned that I can trust HandiCo to keep working on the problem until it's solved to my [& their!] satisfaction.

They were very professional and helpful - Matt helped me pick a color that would hide the previous color. They were available per Matt's representation and arrived in the window he allowed himself. The first pass at the work wasn't perfectly even, but before I could call him, he called me to ask how it looked. When I told him, he scheduled a follow up and remedied it 100%. The deck looks great and water is beading on the surface! I'm going to use them for a few more projects - doors and fencing - for the association; these guys are good and it's hard to find reliable professionals who stand behind their work.

The gentleman was timely but it seemed like he had a little more difficulty figuring out how to do the work and called me to tell me all the problems. Ultimately, he was able to do the job and they did not charge me for the extra time, since he was probably more of a novice.

I had them come out and do a couple small plumbing jobs. The things that stood out to me were price, they showed up on time, and got things taken care of.

Pablo was excellent. He arrived on time despite there being a snowstorm outside and was very professional throughout the process. He explained what he was going to do and why. I was very impressed with his efficiency. Would definitely hire HandiCo, specifically Pablo for sure, in the future for projects around my house.
