We first contacted Great Lakes Waterproofing in August 2008. An estimate was made and we decided to go ahead because they garantied that pumping in Volcay Bentogrout (Bentonite) would waterproof the basement wall from the outside. We discussed with the person that came out the fact that our house is build with ICF blocks; which would not be a problem was garantied; it would work as well. Work was done in September 2008. At first it looked like it did indead solve the problem and we re-drywalled the basement wall. We even recommended this company to several other people. Unfortunately after about 2 years we found mold and moisture in the basement again (same spot). Called the company and they came out to redo the injection procedure without delay. To make a long story short they came out to more times. Last time was in september 2014 and the leaking continued. Called the company in June 2016 explaned the situation and that another soluation needed to be found. I was told there was a waiting period of 4-6 weeks and would get a call as soon as there was an opening. I am still waiting for them to call me back (Oct 2016). Last week we had that wall escavated and repaired from the outside by another company. After dealing with this problem for almost 10 years we were longed for no moisture and mold in the basement and decided to go the expensive route. This company had to replace the drainage tile as well because the bentonite (which is a clay mass) had clogged the drainage tile completely. Spoke with several people working in the basement wall waterproofing industry and the all were very sceptable about this system. 1st. I am very disappointed in this company; especially because the promissed me in June of this year to call us back and set up an appointment to come and look at the problem. 2nd. Be warned about this system; Rated the price as F; just because it did not solve the problem at all. Was waisted money and gave us 8 more years of headaches and anxiety.

It was very good.  They were prompt, came exactly when they were supposed to, did what they were supposed to do, and the crew was pleasant.  It was the type of experience that you'd want if someone was doing work in your home.  The job took a couple of days and it has worked just fine.

They came back and had to do it a couple of times because it was still leaking in the basement.  The technicians came on time but didn’t clean up too well.  They were responsive and came out when they said they would.  It’s still under warranty so I can still call them if needed.

They were good when they performed the services.  However, I sold the home before I could see if it held up.  They were ok to talk to.

They were very good about everything. They didn't charge us anything. They did free estimates. We are looking to seal our foundation. They had 2 potential options. One was an injection and the second was to dig and put in a tile drain system. They quoted us prices on both and came out the second time to see if the injection concealing would work. It turned out that wouldn't work for us. We got quotes from 4 waterproofing companies and went with someone else. On one of the businesses they were a little bit late.

There was a very loud noise coming from the basement, and the lady who answered the phone said that it would cost $125 for them to come out to check it out, and I had a hard time with her about that. They came out, and found out that it was the sump pump, so I didn't have to pay the $125, but now I am concerned about the water now coming out on front lawn. They told me that I needed to buy something to redirect the water, which I did , and they redirected it to my front lawn. I don't like that. The sump pump they put in there went bad, and I had to have them come out. They couldn't even get out here in a timely fashion. They had to reschedule with me several times. I would not use them only because of the water that is being direct to the front of the lawn, and they seem to have washed their hands off the situation.

Our experience with them has been good but I do not know the cost of the service. The service was fine. They really stopped the leaks and they had to come several times to do it. They did the job and did it right. They did a good job but my husband took care of the whole thing. I hope that we would not get any more leaks but we would call them again if we would need there services again. I was not in charged of looking after the work and my husband was but if there had been complaints or problems, I would have heard.

They did an excellent job. The person that did it was really great and went out of his way to do a few extra things.
