Car was taken in 3 times to fix things that they did not address before. It started out as a brake job which they noticed a leak
that needed to fixed and old spark plugs. Did this but then the car had to go back in due to it over heating. Replaced a hose and car was back a week later after it was towed in. This time it had a blown head gasket. This is after they told me a pressure and block test was done to make sure it was not that. Also they stated they will only charge me cost for parts but when you asked for their cost they will not tell you or make you deal with a hassle calling their vendors for a price.

I sent a friend there to get work done on their car as well and they were quoted the same exact price as me but for a different service. I did not trust their pricing. My check engine light continues to come back on so I feel they did not fix the issue in the first place.

Jerked around from the get go. Avoid at all costs. Nothing but a waste of time and 0 visibility into what's going on
Brought my car in on a Monday when they opened. Described the problem and they said they would check it out and let me know. I let them know up front that I needed the car back that day since my wife needed it for work the next day. Around 1pm, I decided to call and check the status. They told me the guy who worked on my car was busy and would call back in 30 min....2 hrs later I call back and now the guy was out to lunch, "wait 15min". Around 5pm I get fed up and decide to go get my car. They told me they ruled out suspension but would need to do alignment another day. I _scheduled_ to bring the car back on Saturday at 10am. I was told it won't take long since they just need to do alignment.
Come Saturday, I drop off my car at 10am (when they opened). I might as well have not come in Monday as they had no notes and treated me like it was my first time there. I called around 12 because I still haven't heard word...once again just told to call back in an hour. 1.5 hours later I decide to stop by and ask. There's my car sitting right where I left it. Annoyed at this point, I ask what's the deal. He brings a mechanic in to tell me that the alignment place is closed!! Apparently they don't do alignment themselves and just didn't feel it necessary to tell me this. To top it all off, the gentleman helping me lied about not being there Monday when i first came in...
Now I need to scramble to find a place to get my car fixed so I can get home for Christmas. Thanks for wasting 2 days of my time.

My check engine light was flashing this week, so I called ahead at lunch time to see if I needed to make an appointment with Grace Auto Repair. The man on the phone said there was no need, although he promised he would help me first when I was able to come after work. True to his word, the man (didn't catch his name) remembered me when I arrived, and promptly took a look at my engine. He carefully explained that only two of the four cylinders were working, and one of the ignition coils and 4 spark plugs needed to be replaced. He estimated the price at $325, but when I mentioned my Angie's List subscription, he bumped it down to $280. The labor was $90 of that, and I feel like $190 is pretty reasonable for the materials (according to what my dad estimated spark plugs and an ignition coil should be). He told me the work would take an hour, so I wandered off to a nearby cafe. When I came back an hour later, the man was courteous and let me know it would still be a while, which turned out to be 15 minutes. In general, I was pleased with the service, and I'm glad my car is working smoothly again!

Leo looked at the car, gave me a written proposal while I waited. His price was far less than the dealer wanted. It took longer than he said it would but it was a big job so I was expecting not to have it back for a week. He called me a few times along the way just to update me. He's a really nice guy and is now my "got to" auto mechanic for sure.

I had been hearing a noise from the back of the car, especially on rough roads or going over bumps. The mechanic put the car on the lift and showed me where the struts were worn and explained in detail what the options were for replacement. He was very courteous and professional. I do not know if the price was a good one as I did not comparison shop, but I am convinced it was a better price than the dealer would have given, having had considerable work done by the dealer in recent months. When I picked up the car, I even notice that they did some minor bumper repair without any charge. In fact, had I not noticed and commented on it, I do not think they would have even mentioned it to me. Overall it was a very positive experience.

I have used Grace for a couple years now for mechanical issues with my car. I originally found them on Yelp, where they have very strong reviews. This is a mechanic you can trust. They will not try to sell you on repairs you don't need or try to swindle you. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and they are friendly and helpful. I was having a problem with my battery recently and brought in a new one and asked them to change it out. They had me pull into the garage right away and changed out the battery for me. When he was finished, he told me "no charge". This is a great find for anyone looking for a trusted and reasonable mechanic.

Did everything we asked for and even replaced windshield wiper tubing for free. Gave great advice - feel like I've known these guys for years, trustworthy.

, I had been at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for a month with my daughter. My car broke down in rush hour traffic on a Friday in Chicago as I was driving home to North Carolina. Everyone was very kind and pushed my car out of traffic. I had my husband join Angies list and found that Grace came highly recommended so had my car towed there. I can't say enough about how kind and fantastic Grace was. My daughter had missed so much school and was supposed to start again on Monday. Grace completed the work on Saturday at a very reasonable rate and got us on the road again by Saturday evening. They are very trustworthy, competent, and accommodating.

I spent about $1300 on that service. I would tell others that they are very honest, especially because and I am a woman driver.

My car wouldn't start, so I called Grace (on the advice of other Angie's List Members). He told me about a reasonable towing company (King) that picked up my car on 12/23 and dropped it off at Grace for them to work on it Christmas Eve morning. They diagnosed that the distributor cap and wiring had been fried out and the car was ready by noon. Kenny was so nice he handed me a bottle of wine as I left as a Christmas Present. Will definitely use them again. (their Oil Changes pricing is very inexpensive)

My old 96 Jeep was have power steering issues. At initial call, they told me to drop my car off at anytime. After only an hour or so after dropping my car off, they called me with the issue they found including the exact parts needing replacements (and exact cost of each part), the labor costs and ETA. He actually asked me if I thought the price was fair and encouraged me to call around with the information he gave me to check other pricing and he would match anything lower. He also offered to do a general diagnostic for free. Then, when I went to pick it up, he actually gave me the old parts and showed me under the hood the replaced parts, so I knew they were new and not used. He also showed me the other things that would need replacing soon, but told me to wait until they really needed it and gave me time estimates on each. Then he again asked me if I thought the price was fair and found any cheaper as he would be happy to match it. Overall, was just a breath of fresh air from an auto repair shop. Very encouraging to understand in detail what the problem was and the different parts of my car and what to look for my self in the future. Also, regarding the things that would need fixing in the next 6-18 months, told me exactly what would need doing so I could make sure if I went somewhere else they didn't rip me off. Nice guys, honest and stress free. Definitely recommend it.

Kenny is the new owner/manager and he provided great service. They were prompt in answering the initial call about availability. Then provided a timely call back when they diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate, and finished the work soon after I authorized the repair. Car runs fine now.
