"Thank you for having us over to help with the catch basin and rodding work. Each job is different, and yours was more involved than the typical drain cleaning, so the price was more than a typical drain cleaning. It is not always accurate to compare one drain cleaning to another, but I did look over the invoice and spoke to the technicians that were working on your job, and do think that it was a reasonable cost given the work involved. We appreciate the work and the review."
"Thank you very much for the kind words! I am glad I was able to call you back quickly, and that Ken was able to get out there to help with the issue itself. Thank you for your review and for rewarding us with the service call!"
"Thank you, Member! We truly appreciate your review. We have now opened up Saturday AND Sunday as regular work days! We do charge an emergency for night time hours, but even our regular weekday, non emergency fee hours have been extended ! We know that not all plumbing issues happen Monday-Friday from 8-4, so we decided to further improve our customer service by helping those in need on Weekends and evenings without a penalty. I am glad that you were happy with our service, and appreciate the work!"
"Thank you for your review! We truly appreciate your taking the time to write about us and grade your experience with us. Jake has been with us for a bit over a year and has really worked hard for our clients-thank you for mentioning the fact that you were so pleased with him!"
"Thank you for your review. I left a message with you, member, as well. Anytime there is an issue with a client, we follow up to see what could have been done to improve the situation-every client is valuable to us! If you get a moment, please call me at (773) 407-1884. There are some cases where a gas valve on a water heater can-and should be replaced. Same with the anode and dip tube. But if the water heater is more than 6 years old, having a professional do this work may cost more than it is worth investing in. The average water heater lasts 10 years, so to invest a considerable amount of money into an older water heater may not be worth it. I will look up the information we have for your water heater to see what the situation was. In cases where the water heater is not very old, it may still be covered under some parts warranty, which helps make replacing a defective gas valve or other part more realistic. Please understand that not all water heaters are the same, and not all installations are the same. If you are looking for the lowest price, you can get that from big box store, but I can tell you that I have reinstalled, or corrected more installations done by their subcontractors, than I can recall. We do our work to a high standard and use only excellent quality parts and materials. I am not sure where you found that price, as it is lower than what we pay for one. If it is online, we do not buy items such as water heaters online. Why? Because we feel paying more for great service is worthwhile. You can find sump pumps, water heaters, etc. online, for less than our cost. But what happens when that water heater goes out, or the pump stops working? We want to be able to remove the bad item and replace it the same day for you. You will not get that service online. We once had a client call us about a water heater they installed themselves that would not work after they were done installing it. We went out there and found the mother board was defective. We called the manufacturer to try to get the part sent under warranty. Unfortunately, when they ran the serial number, they found it was a unit that was supposed to be scrapped, so there was zero warranty. Had we supplied and installed the water heater, and it did not work, we would have obtained and installed the part under warranty, with no issue, because we deal with local suppliers. The water heater prices that we quoted (we gave you a couple of options) included our brass fitting package, full port drain down package, etc. Are competing bids including an expansion tank, and a full parts and labor warranty, as ours does? Comparing a repair you did yourself to one done a licensed, bonded, and insured company that hires only the best techs we can find, is not really fair. If I fix my car myself, of course it is cheaper than it is if I bring it in to a professional mechanic. They are also going to charge me more for parts than if I ordered them online. We want to be in business for many years to provide great service for our clients, and that would be impossible if we sold parts for our cost yet had to stock and warranty them, and did not charge for labor. I will never promise to be the least expensive in town-my dedication to hiring excellent techs who do great work and install excellent products that are backed up by us and the manufacturers as well, is not inexpensive. We also do not rig things together, as I do not want my name or reputation on something that is done less than safely, correctly and reliably. I am sorry if you were not happy with us, and I hope this helps to explain why we do things the way that we do them. I can always be reached on my cell if I can be of any assistance to you on this matter or any future plumbing issue. Thank you, Mike Goode"
"Thank you for having us over the day after Thanksgiving. We often see a sizeable increase in calls similar to yours (clogged kitchen sink drain) during the holidays. This was a bit more complex than usual, because of the way the original plumber installed the kitchen sink drain work behind the walls. We made some changes that should make things easier the next time you need the drain line cleaned out. We appreciate the service call and your review here!"
"Thank you very much for your review as well as the work! We cannot promise to be the least expensive plumbers out there, as we strive to hire the best technicians we can find and use only high quality parts and materials. Your home is most likely the single largest investment you will own, so we believe that only a professional belongs working on it. We still provide an excellent value for your money, with great work and a true belief in real customer service."
"Thank you very much for the work as well as your review. We appreciate you mentioning that a plumbing company should be as professional as possible. Over the years, we have witnessed the industry struggle with this-from technicians showing up at the door wearing an old T shirt and jeans, to trying to sell the client something they don't need. It takes years of training and education to become a plumber, and we could not agree more that this is truly a profession and not just a job. Our company works very hard to project the image and experience of a professional team."
"Thank you very much for the work! We appreciate the service call and the review here as well. Professional plumbing, or electrical as you mentioned, are not inexpensive, but to have it done properly adds safety, reliability, and value to your home. Thank you again for having us out!"
"Thank you for having us out! We were very surprised to see the disconnected exhaust vent-a very dangerous, potentially lethal situation. I am glad that we were able to get the new water heater installed properly for you. As you mentioned, we are not bargain priced, as we do our work to a high standard, providing great materials and fixtures, installed correctly, and covered by a great warranty. We appreciate the work and your review!"
"Thank you very much [Member Information Removed] this very nice review! Everyone here really does care about the client and the company, and wants to do a great job. I have had some bad service experience myself in the past and vowed to do the opposite [Member Information Removed] my own clients. We are grateful [Member Information Removed] your repeat business and your trust!"
"Thank you ! We really do appreciate the work and your review here on Angie'[Member Information Removed] List! Our goal is to make sure our clients are satisfied with every aspect of their service from us. Sometimes things do not always go as planned, stick with it until the job is done."
"Thank you, member! We truly appreciate the work and your review. I am glad that you were happy with the work. I will look into your invoice, and if you have not received credit for the coupon, I will make sure that you receive it."
"Thank you for the kind words! We do not want to leave anyone without hot water, a leak, or a clogged drain-once we start, we do our best to stick things out until the issue is resolved. Thank you for the service call as well as your review!"
"Thank you, Member, for having us out. We are glad that Brian did a great job for you-he is very thorough! When we go to a home that we have not been to before, we like to walk through the plumbing system with the owner so that we can make sure everything is in good, reliable order, and to show you things that may potentially cause an issue. We do not want to see our clients have an expensive emergency! Thank you for the work and your review here on Angie's List!"
"Thank you very much for having us out! Brian was the plumbing service technician that helped with this service call, and we are glad he did a nice job for you. We appreciate your review and the work."
"Thank you for having us over! We are grateful that you rewarded us with this call, and appreciate your leaving us a review as well. I am glad you were happy with Ron-he is a great part of our team!"
"Thank you for having us over. We realize there was a bit more work, but our job is to stick it out until the issue has been resolved! Thank you for rewarding us with the service call, and for your patience."
"Thank you for having us out to your home. I am sorry that you were disappointed with us. However, I would like to explain things, and how we work. Yes, we do charge $60 to come out-which is, as you mentioned, waived if you have us perform any of the work we recommend. The reason we charge $60 is because, unlike an increasing number of our competitors, we do not send a salesperson out. Far too many companies are advertising unrealistically low prices, or offering free estimates, in an attempt to get a foot in the door and upsell. We instead send a professional plumbing service technician to your home, who will take the time to properly evaluate the issue, and give you an honest, written quote. So while it may cost a little more up front, we find it often saves you money on the actual job. Having said that, I will never promise to be the lowest priced company in town. In fact, I assure you that we are not! Why? Because we are professionals. We hire professional service techs that enjoy proper pay and good benefits. We only hire the best that we can, and work hard to retain them. We could easily hire less expensive employees that do not do the best work-but would you want that person in the most expensive single investment you are likely to ever make-your home? Neither would I. We also carry proper licensing and insurance-for our protection, and yours! Can you imagine hiring someone that was cheaper bit skimped on workmans comp, and had them fall and get hurt in your home? Plumbing is very physical job, so all of this is very important. We have meetings every morning with our techs to go over issues, technical updates, etc. When we say we care about who we send to you home, we mean it. Now regarding your particular job-we love Amazon! I just bought a book from them last week in fact. I do not, however, buy items I need to actually rely on. Why? Because if it breaks, I want to be able to call the installer and tell them to deal with it, or return it to the local store I bought it from and get a new one. Firstly, not all disposals are the same. Just like there are different makes and models of cars, there are different makes and models of disposals. I assure you , our disposal is no $99 Amazon special Our disposal is not the cheapest, but it is reliable, quiet, and comes with a great warranty-that we back up! And it is installed. The $99 disposal online is not installed. You would still need to get someone to do that if you cannot do it yourself, and you would want to make sure that someone includes the pipe corrections that ours did. This was not just a simple disposal swap. And if it breaks, we deal with it for the next seven years. No pro rated warranty. No removing it, or having someone to remove it (at additional cost), and shipping it back to Tel Aviv or wherever the vendor you got it from is. You call us, we come fix it or replace it. I get that not everyone wants quality. And there are plenty of handypersons that will install a low quality disposal at low price, but you most often getting what you pay for."
"Thank you very much for recognizing the efforts our techs put forth on this very cold day! We truly appreciate the great review and the service call that you rewarded us with."
"Thank you so much! We appreciate the very nice review and your rewarding us with the service call. I am glad that you were happy with Tony and Josea and our company."
"Thank you! We appreciate you having us out to install a new, high quality Metropolitan battery back up pump system. This system is sure to provide years of reliable protection against your basement flooding from seepage!"
"Thank you! We weren't about to leave someone with no kitchen sink and guests coming over for Thanksgiving if we could help it! We were able to get the old faucet working for the holiday, and returned the next day to install a new faucet that the client purchased once the supply house opened back up. Thank you for the work and your very nice review!"
"Thank you for having us out, and for allowing us to go over the repair options for your toilets. Often things do seem like a simple fix, and often a temporary repair can be a simple fix. While we can do this, we look at the larger picture-a permanent solution. For example, we often find that the flapper on a toilet is no longer sealing properly, causing the toilet to run. All too often, we find plumbers will replace only this part, despite the rest of the toilet being older as are the other parts inside. Replacing the defective flapper may solve the immediate issue, but if there is an older, lower quality fill valve, we don't want to leave it in there, have it fail a few months later, and have to charge a second service call at that time. We look at the complete toilet-and if all but one part are in perfect order with a long life ahead, then yes, we can certainly keep the repair simple and inexpensive. But if we find a low quality, aging fill valve, an incorrect supply line, a shut off valve that does not shut off all the way anymore, gaskets that cracking, etc., it would be a disservice to you, our client, to leave them and have them fail in the near future. Instead, we find it is more money up front but overall less expensive, to take care of any current issues and soon to become issues, during the initial visit. Our goal is to have you never call us more than one time for the same issue! Thank you again for having us over and for your review!"
"Thank you very much for having us out! We appreciate the service call very much, and also are grateful to you for taking the time to grade us and write a review on Angie's List."
