GEEKS ONE

I called to use their drop-off service, as they advertised in my local UPS Store, but was told they didn't do that anymore, so I would need to have it picked up (for a $25 fee) When I spoke to GeeksOne on the phone, and when I gave my computer to the Geeks One representative, I explained that the computer was getting power (as indicated by a power light on the exterior of the computer), but would not power up when the power button was pressed; I suspected that there was a short in the mother board. The Geeks One representative told me he would run "diagnostics" on it, and have it back to me in a few days. He had my computer for 9 days, and sent several emails saying he was "just about to get to it, but something else had come up." I felt that I was not as important as other customers, and was getting lip service for the whole time he had my computer. When I got it back the Geeks One representative told me, "it's getting power, but won't turn on; it's probably a short in the mother-board... we don't do those repairs." And charged me $50 for telling me what I already knew, and told him in the first place. I tried getting an explaination for what "diagnostics" he did, but he just avoided the question, saying it was "specific to each manufacturer." I never got an answer.
