Galter Life Center

Two pools with multiple arthritis exercise classes every week. Great instructors and facilities. No one is made to feel inadequate due to their size, abilities or fitness wear.  Perfect for me.

It has a physical therapy connected to the gym. They have great classes. It is clean and well scheduled. The trainers are excellent and you can ask any questions any time. People of all ages come over from seniors to young adults. Their price is average.

Galter Life Center is more than a gym -- it is a wonderful, supportive community. They have excellent fitness equipment, a track, two pools, several spa baths and many, many group classes included in the monthly fee. They also have a number of additional specialty programs that are discounted to members or that non-members can purchase.
GLC attracts people of all walks of life and a wide range of ages. The locker rooms are recently updated, have plenty of space and all the amenities that you'd look for. They have number locks, so you don't need your own lock. They also have a fabulous KidsCenter where kids are watched for up to 3 hours for a very reasonable fee. And, there is parking lot for members that usually has spots open.
Though the monthly membership fee is on the higher end, the quality of experience surpasses any other and quot;regularand quot; gym or YMCA gym I have belonged to.
I highly recommend Galter Life Center, especially if you are looking for weight loss support or other specific, health-oriented help.

It is extremely clean, they have competent people, and they are very knowledgeable. They have a huge variety of classes and they have two huge swimming pools. They attend from very young to elderly. They deal with issues about the heart because they are with the hospital. The hours are terrific. They are a little pricey on the fees. They have a membership fee and then a monthly fee. They can be hard to get a hold of, because they are so busy.

The facility is great. The equipment is new and the facility is large. There was always plenty of equipment available to use. The locker rooms were clean and were redone while I was a member. They offer lots of classes at many different times throughout the day and week.

It is convenient and they have just about everything I need.

I am very impressed with Galter. They have a great selection of classes at times that are convenient. The instructors are great, the people that work there are welcoming and friendly. There has never been a problem in finding a machine available or with any other service. It is less expensive than the city locations I have been going to and I find their policies much more customer-friendly.

I love this gym. It's friendly, relaxed, diverse, and comfortable for all ages, sizes and fitness levels. I never have trouble getting onto the machines. I've lived in several different cities, and this is definitely my favorite gym because of its inclusiveness and relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

The best thing about it is that it is affiliated with the hospital, so there are medical personnel there. That makes me feel very comfortable and secure. It is very clean, well designed and has good available light. It has a wide variety of machines and the staff is there to help you, not just be pretty!

I love this place! I have never been an exerciser and have lots of weight to lose, but I feel comfortable here. I started just taking the aqua classes 5-6 days a week. They offer them daily. Then I utilized the FREE fitness evaluation sessions to have a personal trainer work with me on machines, so now I do aerobic machines + upper and lower body strength stuff. They have lots of group classes; I've tried a couple of those as well. The staff here is so incredibly NICE and professional; they really try to get to know the members. I also have had acupuncture here. What I like best is the cross section of members of all ages, sizes, ethnicities and abilities. All are welcome. They believe they can help everyone get fitter, no matter where you are. This is definitely not a meet-market type of place. Since it is affiliated with the hospital, the emphasis is all on health. The place is very clean; there are lots of windows which makes it bright and cheery.

We love this gym. It always offers many classes, everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facility is very clean and modern. The nursery is also excellent.

If it was closer to my house I would have joined, but the temporary membership was nice. Very expensive for what I wanted (pool only), but good, responsive staff and towels are provided.

I enjoy going to the gym.

I had a wonderful trainer, Laura Olsen who helped me learn all the machines and gave me a great basis for exercising based on my needs. People always available to help if you don't know how to use a machine.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GYMS I'VE EVER BELONGED TO. IT IS CLEAN, RARELY CROWDED, AND HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD WANT IN A FITNESS CENTER - FREE CLASSES, POOLS, STEAM ROOMS, HOT TUBS, CARDIO EQUIPMENT, FREE WEIGHTS AND MACHINES, TRAINERS, FRIENDLY SERVICE ETC. SOME OF ITS WEIGHT MACHINES ARE A LITTLE BIT OUTDATED, BUT THAT IS REALLY MY ONLY COMPLAINT.
