Brian Gaffney and his crew did an outstanding job. They kept the work area clean, worked efficiently,  and completed the job on time, (3 days . . . my home is a large ranch), The price was very reasonable. While I was writing this review our local building inspector rang the doorbell. He provided with me with a copy of his inspection report and commented on ' what a nice job they did '. Very satisfied with Gaffney Construction.

My detached, three-car garage was literally falling apart. Brian and his crew first replaced the roof with decking and shingles that perfectly matched the roof of the house. Three months later, I contracted with him to repair and replace the siding on the garage. Now my garage looks brand new. Gaffney Construction did an excellent job. The crew is polite and professional. Except for the sound of hammers and other tools, I barely noticed their presence on my property. The clean-up was impeccable. I consider Brian my go-to contractor. He knows what he's doing and does it well.

When Brian arrived to provide an estimate for the work, he had a folder that included a brochure on the shingles they used which made it easy to find the company online and get additional information. The folder also contained information on the additional material that would be used, i.e. rubber ice dam the leak barrier used on the roof under the shingles and the warrantee information on the shingles.
The folder also included  thier certificate from the BBB stating they were complaint free in 2011. 
I was provided the address of a house where they had recently done work that had the same shingles I was considering so I could get a feel for what they would look like on my house.  
They arrived on time and took care to protect the house by draping the side that would be used to remove the old roofing. They performed the work without having to go onto my neighbors property which was helpful.  At the end of the first day, the roof was left secure and protected from the weather, we were having frequent storms so this was important to me. The work was completed in two days, as promised, even though the temperatures were close to 100 degrees both days.
To receive the warreatee on the shingles the installer had to send information to the shingle company.  I received my warrantee in a timely manner without having to follow up on it. The final price was higher than the estimate. Estimated price did not cover wood that might need to be replace on the roof since the need for new boards would not be known until the old roof was removed. I did need some boards replaced so final price was higher but this possibility was explained up front.
 
 Having to pay for a new roof is never a happy experience but Gaffney made it as painless as possible.  This is a family run company that is into the second generation, now being run by the sons.  I used Gaffney on my prior house and that roof was still going strong when I sold the house(15-20 years later).
 

They worked on our parents for years and now we have been using them.  They do a great job.  The workers come prepared, and they clean up after themselves.  They have done probably half the houses on my block.  They did an excellent job and the price was fair.

The contractor is a family owned business.  Everyone was very professional from quotation through punchlist completion.  This work was performed by people that had the experience to be successful, and they were well managed.  THANKS!!

I would highly recommend this contractor.  The quotation was clear and left few questions on what would be done for the price.  Samples were provided in a timely manner.  The contract was simple and fair.  The contractor knew what he was doing.  The contractor and all his employees acted with professionalism.  The contractor communicated with us often on the plan and progress of the work.  The contractor proved that his word was "good"...and believe me, that means a lot in today's world of "buyer beware".

Once my scheduled date came up Mr. Brian Gaffney and Mr. Jake Gaffney and their crew of three came to the job and they got to work!  Everything went extremely well!  The shingles and other materials were delivered promptly.  The dumpster for the roofing trash was delivered and removed promptly.  The two Mr. Gaffneys worked side by side with their crew.  It was very hot on the day of service, but Gaffney Construction tore the old roof off, (which had two layers of shingles), and put the new roof on in one day!  I must say I was very impressed with the organization, the work ethic and the attention to detail. After the roof was replaced, the crew did a fine job of cleaning up.  Not one nail, staple, or piece of roofing material was left on the ground, in my yard or even in my neighbor's yards!  They used something that had magnets which picked up any metal.  In addition, a blower was used on the roof and the ground to blow away any trash or dust that was not able to be picked up by hand. Gaffney Construction took only a couple of breaks as hot as it was that day.  The following morning Mr. Brian Gaffney returned with one member of his crew to replace the downspouts on the house and the garage.  I added screens in the gutters to help prevent leaves and other trash from clogging the new downspouts.  I am very grateful to Gaffney Construction for the fine example of professionalism and positive work ethic demonstrated on my job.  I offer the highest recommendation to others regarding using Gaffney Construction for roofing and gutters, and assure you they are very well worth the time and the money!  Thanks Brian and Jake for completing my job in a timely, professional, manner. In a time when there are plenty of companies not doing things right, I appreciate the fine efforts of Gaffney Construction in maintaining quality and professionalism with consumers.
