This was one of the best experiences we have ever had dealing with any kind of contractor, and we have had many! Roger showed up at the promised time and prepared an estimate on the spot. He appeared so knowledgeable and frank that we signed an agreement right then. Two weeks later his men came out and did the entire job in a day. We never expected fifty feet of new fence to be up the same day because there was a fair amount of demolition, including and removal of trellises and under deck animal barriers.
OMG ... we need a shower stall redone, a leak under the floor found, a kitchen floor redone, new closets built ... and unfortunately Roger only does fences. But well! We love the new fence!
Ignore the D rating of someone who probably miscommunicated and didn't hire Freeman fence anyway. There are always Prima Donnas who whine about anything.
The guys are tops!

When Andy come out for the estimate, he was very knowledgeable of his product. We had an idea of what we basically wanted, a wooden fence with 2 gates of wroth iron and wood. I explained our overall concern was safety! With that, Andy advised us that particular gate we had in mind would require 2 types of gate in one. He recommended that they could do something else that was safe and much more affordable. The same day we signed the contract and he was able to set up the job for the exact day I requested. The following Friday the workers were at the the house on time and had the job 90% complete that day, as our gates could not be hung because the steel posts needed to set. The gentleman made sure that the gate area was secure with the old fence, until they returned on Monday morning. We had a couple of glitches, but overall----WE LOVE OUR NEW FENCE!!!!!! We did have to call Andy back over, as we had some concerns, but he explained that what was happening is normal, and if at any time we need to fix anything, we have a 5 year warranty!!!!!!!! Mind at ease!

The estimator came out and gave me a quote within about 30 minutes. 1 week later we had a new fence. Very quick. The final product looks fantastic and the quality seems good. The only major reason for the B rating is that the installers decided to cut one of our delicate flowering trees. I paid a professional arborist to come out and trim all of the trees to make clearance for the new fence. If they had ask me about cutting the tree I would have said NO!!

I thought Freeman Fence were great! They were prompt on getting back to me with an initial quote. Then someone came out to measure out the length of the yard a few days later, then about a week and a half later, I get a call saying that the materials were in and they could come back sooner than we all thought. Everyone was great, from the person who initially came out to measure, to the workers who came out and were able to finish the work within 2 hours! The reason I gave a B for the pricing is because the final price was a few hundred dollars more than what I got over the phone, but I understand that there is a difference when someone actually comes out to look at the yard versus just giving a quote. It was just a bit more than what we were expecting to pay, but we went with it anyway.

Ross Was on time for our meeting to discuss the location and design requests we had. They were very accommodating with regard to design. They are capable of building from a rough sketch as well as architectural drawings. The overall fit and finish and materials of the fence and gate are excellent. I am a home builder and have built over 2500 homes in the Chicago metro area and I would ABSOLUTLY use Freeman Fence again.

They were really great, we liked them a lot. They were very efficient and did everything they said they were going to do.

These folks were so great. They responded to my phone calls immediately, respected that we just needed a quick repair and not a major replacement, were thorough, prompt, sincere, etc.

My experience with Freeman Fence began when I called to obtain an estimate for a fence and gate. My inquiry was answered almost immediately by Jim Weinrauch who scheduled an appointment for two days later and submitted a very competitive estimate within a week of our meeting. After a brief delay we were able to schedule an installation date for the following week with one additional follow-up appointment to fix a broken latch on the gate. Roger Freeman was the person who coordinated the work and he was very responsive to my concerns. Although my project was a small one, it was huge for me and thanks to Freeman Fence I finally have the backyard of my dreams!
