Also, they were TOTAL work horses. Instead of dawdling or moving normally, and taking as long as possible to increase my bill, they worked so fast (always carrying 2 plus heavy boxes, etc) that I was genuinely concerned for their safety despite being young and strong. Even more impressive, my move was draining enough I probably have been a full-day move. Yet not once did they fuss, they were always a delight! AND they did an amazing job of problem solving. My couch is a huge, heavy couch that was WINDER than the front door, and there was no other entrance. They brained it through, removed the door, removed the legs and finally through sheer will, got it in AND without damage. These guys are a class act all the way, incredibly strong, hard-working, polite and bright! And their prices are very fair. I'd give them an 11 out of 10 if I can, I cannot say how grateful I am to have found flat price moving --I don't think I could have gotten all my furniture in (and in one piece) without them.

Flat price movers sent Dave, Alex and Mike arrived early within my moving window. I had packed all my things into boxes (honestly probably about 45 boxes) but still had a ton of furniture, TV's, lamps, appliances, rugs, dog house, etc...the stuff you don't think about having to move until the movers actually arrive. They also handled the transport of all my vehicles to NYC. I tried to separate my things into "going to the house" vs. "going into storage" piles but soon realized the frustration in that. Instead, I stood in the center of my living room and every time guys returned from the truck I would point at the next thing and say "house" or "storage." The movers took extreme care wrapping my furniture etc. in plastic sheeting and using moving blankets to cushion delicate items (like my brand new TVs). They somehow moved my entire home -- 7 years' worth of Chicago living (complete with minor hoarding) -- into the truck in less than 2.5 hours. We drove to my new house and they brought the "house" designated boxes & furniture inside in about 3 hours as well, and we were on to my storage unit and done with the whole move inside the minimum expected timeframe. Not a single item was lost, broken or misplaced during my move. I cannot recommend flat price moving enough.
