Fix It People

Fix It People were great. I did a tele-estimate via facetime and received an estimate that afternoon. Pricing was very reasonable for the project. Work scheduled for 1 week later. Workmen arrived exactly on time (even in a snowstorm). They were extremely courteous, covered all furniture, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Very pleased with the overall service and would definitely hire again.

Overall painting work was ok. Although they were not the cleanest as I discovered dried paint splashed on floors and kickboards. They forgot to put the outlet and switch covers back in one room. I have used them for another service in the past and just too pricey for an ok job. I think they are too overpriced and not worth the money if you are not in a hurry. I would definitely shop around before you commit.

The work was fine, I was very satisfied with their work.

My property manager hired FixIt to make a drywall repair and paint a condo I own. That work went well. The manager forgot to tell them to paint the trim. FixIt said they'd come back to do it for an additional $300, which I agree to. That was over two months ago!! I've called, emailed, even visited their shop and all I've received are promises to get the work completed. But they never finished it. So aggravating, for an otherwise good company.

Quick at responding, clear price evaluation, and the person who came was good and fast - he did four outlets in an hour, for 125$ all included.

Tom, the general manager, was very responsive and provided a quote for the work promptly. After accepting the quote, a handyman, Angel, came out a few days later. He was on time, professional, courteous, and did a good job. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We had a magnificent experience with Fix It People.  Tom responded to our initial request within the hour and scheduled a handyman to visit our home the very next day.  We were provided with a fair estimate, which we approved, and the work commenced a couple days later.  Within two days, they were finished patching and painting our 1 bedroom condo and we couldn't be happier with the work.  The handyman, Niall, did an excellent job and he was extremely polite.  I would highly recommend this handyman companye.

We hired the Fix It People for snow removal for our 7 unit condo building this winter.  They come out every time it snows over 2 inches for a fixed monthly rate of $300.  The removal guys that have come out have all been great.  Our building feels that this service has been worthwhile and we will continue to use them next year.

We were very pleased with Niall of Fix It People. When he came to give a quote we immediately liked his approach. We got three quotes and their quote was competitive. The job was done on time, as quoted and in a professional manner.

We used Fix It People for snow removal last year, and they did a great job.  We're definitely using them again this winter (if it ever snows).  Recently, I needed a flat screen tv mounted on the wall, as well as a couple of component shelves.  I also needed a couple of bookshelves secured to the wall.  Dan is an extremely professional and friendly person to work with, and he's very fair in price.  Not only was the job done extremely well, but they also took our old tv stand out back and discarded all the boxes.  So when they left, everything was clean and perfect.  I can't recommend Fix It People enough for both their snow removal and handyman services, and I'll be looking into using them for other things in the near future.

When I called for the appointment, they were able to answer all my questions and schedule me within 3 days - as this was not an emergency. The contractor Niall McCrann arrived 10-15min PRIOR to scheduled time - very impressive! He was very courteous and professional. He worked diligently on the task at hand and did not waste any time. He did an excellent job with the ceiling repair, paint and caulking. Even though the job ended up taking two hours longer than previously quoted over the phone, I saw that it was the nature of the work itself, not the contractor's fault. Nonetheless, when I mentioned the discrepancy on the time estimate, Niall was very ethical and offered me a discount for the time misquote. I was very impressed with his work ethics and quality of work. I would use this company again without any reservations and would strongly recommend it to to others.

I recently moved into a beautiful, old home in the Lincoln Park area and needed some drywall repair and painting done. I called Fix It People to set up the details. The team was extremely helpful and walked me through the process, helping customize my experience as well as my project. The handyman was friendly, quick and professional. The pricing was very affordable, and I thought it was great that Fix It People offers flat rates for longer projects and hourly rates for smaller ones! I would definitely recommend the Fix It People team to everyone looking to repair or improve their homes. Owning an older home, I am sure I will need repairs again in the future and will be sure to call Fix It People every time.
