FIRST STERLING MORTGAGE

My fianc and I needed a mortgage for our first home. Jay was recommended to us by a family friend. He definitely knows what he is doing, and even with these difficult to predict mortgage conditions (September, 2008), he stayed on the ball. Due to the mortgage market conditions, he was extraordinarily busy (a lot of refinancing, educating clients/himself/employees, etc.) and this lead to less responsiveness than we would normally appreciate. Given the circumstances, however, we are very satisfied with the outcome and the advice he was able to give us along the way. We had a lot of issues with closing our house (mainly due to having a terrible Realtor), but Jay helped see us through the hard times and worked diligently to come up with a solution to a terrible term that our Realtor added to our contract. Without Jay, the sale of our house could have fallen through. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jay again, especially when the volatile market settles down.
