I realize that estimates are to a great deal at the discretion of the person doing the estimate. I know a salesman can increase or lower the price of an estimate. He is on a commission and has a little leeway. The company wanted to charge me seventy dollars to key my back door the same as my front and I thought that was excessive. Their total price was two hundred dollars higher than the company I went with. For someone at my income level, that s significant. When they installed my front door, I think they did a fine job. I have had no problems with the door. It s been a good door and has a good seal. I am definitely happy that I have that door. They were professional.

Tim came by the same day I called to do the first measurements and show us door options. He was courteous and knowledgeable. We then decided to go to the showroom on 83rd St to see the doors in person. We made a decision on door style and Tim came back to take our final order. The installation supervisor came out a few days later to verify the measurements and give his opinion on the job. The door was installed a few weeks later. Our initial order was placed on 9/28. We changed our minds on number of doors and style and a new order was placed on 10/10. The door was installed on 10/19. Everyone was helpful and patient with our indecision. The installer was knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. When I pointed out areas that I thought needed more caulking, he did so without a problem. At each stage someone from the home office called to follow up and see how things were going.

We were waiting almost 4 months for 2 storm windows to be installed. I would not recommend anybody to go through this experience. Nightmare contractor.

We were able to custom our order to match our security door. The first guy came out to measure and make sure we understood every part of the process. The next guy came out to install. Both times we received phone calls to confirm appointments and both times, they were on time and very friendly. The window guards look great and are sturdy.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE. WE RECEIVED OTHER QUOTES, AND THE PREVIOUS QUOTES DOUBLED WHAT WE PAID. THE INSTALLATION TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN EXPECTED, BUT OVERALL THE JOB WAS EXCELLENT.

THE WROUGHT GATE IS NOT FUNCTIONING NOW. I'VE CALLED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND THEY HAVE PROMISED TO COME OUT, YET HAVE CONTINUOUSLY FAILED TO HONOR THAT COMMITMENT. VERY FRUSTRATING.

FROM THE STREET, THE DOOR LOOKS NICELY. HOWEVER, ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, I HAVE GOTTEN WATER INSIDE THE SIDE DOOR. IN FACT, IT WAS FROZEN SHUT ONCE. THEY'RE TELLING ME IT'S CONDENSATION. WHEN THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO LOOK AT IT, THE EVIDENCE HAD UNFORTUNATELY DRIED UP. I DON'T KNOW IF WATER/SNOW IS COMING IN DUE TO AN IMPROPER SEAL OR WHAT. I JUST WANT IT FIXED.
