Family First Appliance Repair

Seems to be a complete scam- work not done. Bill paid. No refund given. Was given what seems like an possible fraudulent excuse, and now Art's phone numbers seem to be disconnected.

He went to his condo, pulled out the closet door and took the washing machine apart.  He called me and said he had to replace the parts costing $515.00. He wanted to be paid ahead of time so he could buy the parts.  He sounded like an honest man.  My son said that he seemed trustworthy. He went to my husband's office and collected a check for $515.00. My son said that he seemed trustworthy and we decided to go by his word.  After that we had to call him several times and finally he came and fixed it (so he said).  He never gave us a receipt or  the receipt for buying the parts. Unfortunately my son did not try it while he was there.  After he left, we realized he did not fix it and he never put back the closet door which he pulled out and made a big mess before he left.  I would not advice anyone to call him.  I think he just ripped us of $515.00 and wasted our time!

He took the whole machine apart. He requested we pay ahead of time. It took him several weeks to fix it. When he was finally done and my son tried it, it was not working. On top of that the machine was in a closet and he had removed the doors and never put them back on. He left a mess. He never left us a receipt for the work done.

They looked at the appliance and said they would order the part that costs $219. They could not find the part and gave me some excuses and said they would return my money. They have yet to return any money and I have called and spoke with them for the last three days. They keep telling me they will come but never show up. They also took a part from my toilet that they were going to order and I ended up ordering it myself.
