Looks great, works well

They were pretty terrible, and it took them over a month to get the job done. They initially sent some people who didn?t speak English. They didn?t do an estimate and kept upping the price. We ended up having to use our own lock. They were supposed to provide us with a lock, but they didn?t. After a month of trying to get them to come out, they sent a guy to do the work and it was at the end of the afternoon. The guy wouldn?t have been able to go back to the headquarters to get the lock that they had put out. They wouldn?t have been able to do the work done that way. I was tired of doing all the waiting for them. I volunteered to drive myself to the headquarters to pick up the lock, and I did. It took a long time. I repeatedly asked them if it was the right lock, and it looked very cheap. I took it to a hardware shop to get it keyed because they don?t key things. The people at the hardware shop told me that the lock was of a lesser quality and that it might work for me. I went ahead and bought a different lock at the hardware store. Overall, I had a bad experience with Faithful Fences. The organization is not run well. They put wire mesh on the front gate and painted it. I had to personally spend a day after they installed it grinding off the rust it had accumulated after only a few days and painting it.

The fence looks fine and it is still up. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was similar to what we expected.

They came put in the fence which was fine. They installed the wrong hinges and never put the right ones in.

They did a good job. They were super professional, thorough and gave us a very accurate estimate. The person that came out was the best and he came out and gave us all the details and informed us that it was a family business. He was professional, responsive and good. The price was a little on the higher side, but for the quality of work it was good.

I was very happy with the workers from Faithful Fences. They came out and fixed my fence and did a very good job. Their workmanship was okay and sturdy. Their pricing was reasonable. They only took an hour to do the job. They were very nice and personable.

They did decent work. It took them 2 hours to complete the job. Their price was lower than other companies I looked into. They showed up when they said they would and the gate seems to be working fine.

They did an excellent job. They did the best they could during the weather problem so the job took a little while to finish. I think the price was justified for the work and job they did.

They never showed.

The initial phone call to Alex, the owner, was fine. The fellow who came out for an estimate was late, but he apologized. His estimate was fairly simple. We agreed on the price, with half paid before and half after completion. The start date was changed 3 times and it cost me a few day's off work for nothing. Once the start day arrived, the 9am start time came and went. After 2 more phone calls to Alex, the 2 man crew arrived. (Alex made up an excuse that they bought the "wrong concrete". The guys worked diligently and got half the job done in one day and removed the old fence. From that point on, I dealt with the workers, not Alex. They came back the next day, finished the job, cleaned up and that was it. Good work, good workers, good materials, but bad management.

I requested an estimate from several companies. For most companies this was a small job. After talking to 6 firms, I was able to only get 2 estimates. Faitfhful Fence's quote was almost 1/2 the price from the other company. After a few more follow-up questions (Alex was incredibly responsive on the phone and through e-mail), we hired Faithful Fence. I applied for the permit and they started work the same day the permit was approved. After the village inspected the depth of the post holes, work was completed the following day. They took away the old section of fencing and the dirt piles. Additionally there's a shrub that is close to the fence and they worked around that as well. They matched my existing fence . It was a very professional job. I would recommend them and hire them again.

Given the custom details of the fencing project - it went well. As the client (with Interior Design/Architecture background), I was looking for a very complimentary interpretation of the new custom fence. It was significantly more detailed that a more typical wrought iron fence. After several conversations, drawings and color samples of the custom paint, the result was a wonderful fence to compliment my property. Faithful Fences was able to work with me to achieve what I envisioned.

Apart from a couple of weather delays, the project was flawless. I also had them estimate future work for us. We will use them again.

Fast and as expected.

Overall, it went well. The cost compared favorably to other estimates. The estimate was honored to the dime. Changes we asked for as the work progressed were added at reasonable cost. The wood was as good as wood gets these days. The fence was hand-assembled. The work was good and completed in a timely fashion. Glitches that did come up were addressed. The workers corrected mistakes we pointed out to the owner. Our one problem was that when we called about some warping of the wood on the gates months later, our call was not returned. The warping resolved on its own, but it was irksome not to get that callback.

Company does good work. Owner, Jim, came out and gave an in-person estimate. However, the back office help is not that great. It took forever to get a call back to schedule the work. The person who answers the phone at the office is not very friendly or easy to understand.

The owner came to survey the yard for the job. He was excellent, On time, Very polite and helpful. However, the work did not start on time and we waited for 3 plus weeks for them to get to us. They never called during that time. We did the follow up. When the guys came to do the fence, they damaged the drain spouts. Rather than owning up to what they did, the workers denied it. When the company was notified, they dragged their feet regarding addressing the situation. The company did not do anything to address the situation until I contacted them and stated that I would not pay the balance until the drain spouts were fixed. The company and workers never owned up to what they did. Workers came to fix the drain spouts however, they would not leave until I called and paid the balance on the account. One worker went so far as to ask that I make the phone call in his presence on his cell phone so he could verify that I paid. THIS WAS UNCALLED FOR! The account was paid in full at the end of that business day. HOWEVER, because of the problems with the property damage and the strong arm tactics for payment that was not delinquent, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

They did an excellent job. The two workman that came out did it in two sections. They were able to put up the new fence all in one day, which left my yard protected. These gentleman were incredibly professional. They knew what they were doing and they were really a great team. I was very pleased with the work they did.

Contacted Faithful for estimate when rear fence needed replacement. They also provided estimates for individual units although most chose not to do the work at this time. An appointment was made and they were prompt, thorough and professional.

I was a little upset because part of the fence they installed separated us from our neighbors yard. The neighbors yard was a mess and I wanted to clean up the yard some before they did the installation. They were suppose to call first and didn't. I was upset with them and complained verbally to the workers. I did apologize as I felt later that I was complaining to the wrong person and felt bad about that. These guys really did do a good job and were very nice.

The quality was very good and so were the workers. They came back to fix something that I didn't like. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

They didn't really make appointments they just showed up. Both gates failed and they had to come back a year later. They couldn't speak English and they had to call the office for a translator.

After checking on Angie's List for various fencing companies, I saw that Faithful Fences had stellar reviews. So I called them for an estimate too. The actual owner came out to give me an estimate and was very friendly and professional. His estimate was much lower than any of the other highly reviewed companies here on Angie's list. Specifically, they were going to take more money off of my bill if I removed about 25 feet of an old fence myself ($200) but had I not, the total still would have been lower compared to other companies' estimates. The estimate was given on June 20th, and they were able to come and do the work before the July 4th weekend. This turnaround time was much quicker than any other company I called. I had about 81 feet of new fence put in plus a gate with all the hardware (hinges, handle). I paid $975 down and $975 when the work was complete. Because I mentioned Angie's List, they also nicely took $100 off the original quote of $2050. So, my total was only $1950. The best price I could find. This was for a 6 foot high wooden fence, one gate, and because part of the fence was going over concrete in order for the posts to go in they had to do 4 extra cement breaks. The employees worked hard all day and got it done in a very timely fashion. They even cut each individual plank of wood to give it the "dog eared" look that I wanted. What I also liked about Faithful Fences is that they were not going to charge me extra to haul away excavated dirt. They were super friendly, and I highly recommend Faithful Fences.

Aside from the fact their responsiveness needs improvement, I would give them an A. They custom built the fence to the landscape and it looks beautiful. The only problem is that they installed three gates. The mechanism on one of the side gates sticks. I called them to come out and fix it and they never did come back to fix it. Other than that, they did a great job.

Workmanship and quality are high, but they installed the fence a week or two later than we expected. They did not keep us up to date on progress, and their crew barely spoke English. Communication wasn't as good as I would have liked. I would use them again, though. Price was fair and reasonable, based on several other bids I received.
