Cornel and the EU crew did a fantastic job with our floors! They were super quick to respond to all messages, offered a fair price for the work, and to our amazement, they were able to complete the entire job in just one day of work. The floors in our home were very distressed and after the EU Flooring team was done, they looked brand new - maybe even better! We would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs their hardwood floors refinished.

I was pretty dissatisfied with my experience with Cornel/ EU Flooring. I had submitted initially through to get a quote to sand, restain darker, refinish my Brazillian cherry floors and repair one water damage spot. Cornel responded quickly and did work with my schedule to come out and get an estimate, along with several other contractors. I specifically had in the request that I wanted a dark stain. Cornel tried to discourage me from staining it, saying that Brazilian cherry does not take stain well, but I pushed back a bit as I have seen other photos and another Brazilian cherry that was stained darker and it looked just fine. It is tricky to get the red out, sure, but it does accept stain just like any wood does. He was about $200 cheaper than the next higher quote, but what I failed to notice was in the contract he had only put sand and refinish and had not put a stain in the contract. It is on me for failing to notice this, but I had made my expectations pretty clear from the get-go, however as a new homeowner I am learning I have to check for every explicit detail but honestly this is the first time I have had floors done so I did not see the omission. On Thursday I had not heard anything and texted him Hi, just checking status, stain samples at some point soon? expecting that we could do some test spots. He replied with Hey, yes we still have sanding to do. I did not hear anything else until Friday I texted stating I wanted to check status as I was leaving town. He called and basically said they had already started putting finish on and the contract did not include stain, and implied again that you cannot stain Brazillian cherry. I sent photos of brazillian cherry that was stained, and he said we cannot discuss this after the job is complete and said the contract we had was not for stain. He then apologized for the confusion but said we have been speaking for months now and never heard anything different. I patently disagree as I was clear from the get go on wanting stain, that is not something I changed my mind on. To add insult to injury, when he came to collect the rest of the payment, he charged me a few hundred dollars extra for some issues with some sort of wax by the kitchen sink - it was never really explained nor was I notified until he was there to collect payment. Basically I could have gone with the next higher quote which included stain and that is probably the only reason EU was cheaper. The silver lining is that the floors do look great for the moment- they just are not what I wanted and at this point, it is too late to really do anything about it. They also scratch very easily and I am not sure if that is anything to do with the finish or not enough coats, but I have several large scratches despite being very careful and putting furniture protectors on everything. I just was chatting with a friend of mine who has brazillian cherry floors and had them stained darker (Like I wanted) and when I told him about this event, he said it was ridiculous -his have been stained for a long time and did just fine. Overall, while the floor looks great, it is a moot point when I did not get what I wanted, was charged over the estimate and basically gaslit that it was somehow my fault for the poor communication. I guess you get what you pay for, and this was a lesson in not selecting the cheapest price quote.

EU did a fantastic job of sanding and finishing the hardwood floors in my 3-bedroom condo! The floors look brand-new. The service was professional, timely, and communicative. Corneliu and his crew did the job in the amount of time I expected. He clearly take deserved pride in the skilled services he and his crew provide. The final amount charged was only a bit over the estimate, which I expected because of the state of the floors before the work was done. I would definitely hire them again!

Corneliu is very responsive and helpful. He redid the hardwood floors in my 2 bedroom condo 2 years ago. Unfortunately, the tenants we had did not use any furniture pads or carpeting and there were scratches and indentations and other marks, that a simplly cleaning wouldn't remove. After calling EU flooring, Corneliu came later that day, took a look at the floors, recommended a solution, provided an estimate and scheduled the repair work for later that week. As before, his team did a beautiful job. Thank you for your help and advice.
