ESTHER LEYVA

Esther has worked for us for the last four years. She cleans our house every other week. Since my husband and I both work at home we not only notice how hard she's working but how considerate she is about working around us. She routinely stays longer than the four hours we pay her for and always does an extra thing or two every time (like clean out the fridge or silverware drawer). If she finds a quarter in the sofa cushions she leaves it on the coffee table. She's nice to our cats and even replaces the walnuts that were hidden around the house by a squirrel we've befriended. She shows up more or less when she says she will within 20 minutes. I'm of the mind that if she gets done with her work early, she can leave (although she never does). I see Esther, instead, as self-employed business person like we are. Not a servant
