Hired/paid this company to custom make and install an oak door with window panes. Work was originally performed in 2016 and within 6 months was following up with Lynn to repair door as wood framing around lower window panes was warping and glass was loose. Glass ended up unsealing. Now to glass panes have unsealed and entire lower frame is falling apart. Lynn explained the issue was windows were not properly sealed. He attempted to do this twice but did not have proper supplies. We have gone back and forth for 5 years trying to get him to fix the door as it has deteriorated more over time. We last heard from him in May of 2021 that he would be by with windows to do repairs. He never showed up. I wrote asking him to drop glass panes off and received no response. We paid a good sum of money for a custom new door and install and service within months of install has been terrible. We wasted money on a solid wood door he said would last 40 years. It started falling apart within months and he has never resolved the issues with us.

I thought I needed a door and the 4 organizations with whom I spoke were lining up to get my business; however, after speaking with this incredible gentleman whose name I can't remember, he made me realize I didn't need a door after all and SAVED ME over $2,700!!! He was the ONLY ONLY ONLY one who asked me what the problem was rather than just selling me something. I could not believe how helpful he was. We all have a problem in that we tell the experts what to do rather than what the problem is, and we are the least qualified to do it. So, when he asked me what the problem was, it showed me he was actually listening to me rather than trying to make a sale. I am incredibly grateful to him.

I contacted them and they got back to me in a timely manner. I explained the problem and he knew what the issue and fix were immediately. He came, fixed it and left. It was super quick and worked perfectly. I would definitely suggest using these guys to anyone who needs help with there door.

I needed an aluminum / glass door adjusted, which involved partial disassembly, moving the glass position and carefully inserting spacers while the door was under pressure of being held in position. The end result was great - perfect, really. Let's be honest - it's not that uncommon for contractors to be late, give inaccurate info, be hard to deal with, be rude, etc. My experience with Lynn could not have been more positive. which It's rare that an experience with a contractor is this positive. "Doorguy" was easy to deal with, asked important questions over the phone, told me that he was busy that day but could probably do it later in the day. His expertise, skill and care was obvious even to a person who doesn't know much about doors. Lynn is the kind of contractor where you wish that he did more types of work, because his approach is that good. I would give an A++ if I could.

Ward is very professional. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, explained the options. He did a very nice repair job of reinforcing the door frame and installing a new, higher quality locking handle so that it is more secure than before.

Problems were clearly explained and promptly fixed. My back and front doors had minor problems and are back in working order. I appreciate Lynn's kind manner, integrity and professionalism.

Lynn removed the old door and custom fit a new exterior door. His workmanship is second to none and he is meticulous about every detail. I feel he is worth every penny and am having him back to correct wear and tear on my front entry door. The Door Consultant is extraordinary in his craft, which is anything related to doors. I'd hire him to change a $50 closet door, and he would do it with the same finesse as hanging a $10,000 door.

Lynn Wood is extremely knowledgable, courteous and professional.  He and his associate spent more than a couple of hours on two different occasions trying to fix a door knob that at times would work, and then other times would not open.  As it was the door knob to a room designated as a common element, we were really at our wits end to find a permanent solution to this problem, as owners need constant access to this space.   "Wood" was able to identify the source of the problem, and after repairing it properly, we haven't had a problem since.  

It took some time on the phone for him to understand my request.  Eventually he said to send him my availability via email so he could come out for an estimate.  He responded a couple of days later asking if he could swing by later that day.  It was not one of the days I stated in my availability, hence I was unavailable.  I never heard from him again.  Very disappointed in such unprofessional behavior.

It went great! ?He fit us into his busy schedule and drove all the way to our home on a Monday evening. ?He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. ?He was quick to let us know that the door could indeed ?be fixed and that we didn't need a new door. ?He not only did readjustments on the door but took the time to show us how to readjust the door in the future. ?Our door finally closes all the way and we can lock it again! ?At the end, he said it wasn't much "just a service call" and then wouldn't accept charge. ?We couldn't believe it! ?We would definitely recommend him, as he was knowledgeable and patient. ?Thank you!??

Lynn and helper came out same day and did a very professional job. I watched the entire job as I was interested to watch. Lynn is one of those guys who does the job the right way and takes a lot of pride in his work. You wouldn't think someone would spend time worrying about the finishes on a garage entry door, but Lynn takes pride in the work. Even if that means taking a little longer to get the got done right.

Very friendly and extremely high quality. Would definitely hire again.

When I called last week, Lynn was vague about scheduling a date/time to visit and come up with an estimate, just saying he'd call 30 minutes before arriving sometime next week. I called again today to follow up, but Lynn grew impatient after 30 seconds on the phone and told me to call back in 2.5 hours. I would have appreciated that he offer to call me back or let my call go to voicemail if he didn't have time to talk.

Very prompt response to my emails. This is non owner occupied home and all communication had to be made from outside the state. Repairman missed the originally scheduled appointment but came promptly the following day. Work completed with little inconvenience to tenants. Price was fair for the work done. Will use this vendor again and recommend to friends.

Amazingly well!!  I had looked around for door installers and got various estimates, but I did not feel comfortable with the other guys for this door since there were so many complicated components.  My instincts were right.  He was more expensive than the other guys, but all in all, his advice in various areas saved us money.  Plus, I suspect the inexperience of the others would have end up costing us some.  Lynn Ward (The Door Guy) is a master pro at doors.

L.W. and team arrived early on Saturday AM on holiday weekend to greet the door manufacturer and receive/inspect the delivery.  They then proceeded to spend the entire day methodically and carefully removing the old door and frame without any additional damage to the surrounding area and keeping the mess to minimum; then installation of the new door.  All while working around my family of little kids and a curious dog!  The attention to details was excellent and door performs perfectly.  Makes us scratch our head why we didn't hire them years ago to avoid all the trouble experienced with the old door.  They were very polite, considerate and highly professional.  I've already recommended them to the neighbors who are also experiencing door troubles.  I had received competitive quotes for same door and service and Door Consultants were by far the cheapest.  Combined with the service, they are hard to beat!  L.W. also fixed a minor issue with our front door during a break pro bono!  Highly recommended company for any door repair or replacement service.

Called Door Consultants (Lynn Ward) and explained to him that I could not open or close my entry door.  He arrived at my house within 2 hours after I called and then promptly pin-pointed (house settling) as the cause of my problem.  He presented a couple of options but recommended the one that was most economically feasible.  That involved jacking up the house framing and inserting shims between the cement footing and the house frame.  This corrected the problem, allowing the door to function properly.  He then devised a fixture which would enable me to make a future adjustment myself (perhaps next year), if the house continued to settle.  Lynn and his assistant were very professional and competent and didn't waste time in attacking and resolving the problem. He solved my door problem in less than an hour.  Would I hire him again?  ABSOLUTELY
