"Thank you for taking the time to review Scott and our inspection company. Being the advocate for buyers like yourself in this home buying journey are a true pleasure. Scott's immense knowledge of all the components of a home and his easygoing manner are what make him an incredible inspector. We are always just a phone call away."
"[Member Name Removed], we cannot thank you enough for taking the time to write this review. Your appreciation of the Mark's knowledge and communication throughout the inspection is what keeps us going. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions in the future. We are here for you."
"[Member Name Removed], thank you for the kind words. As you experienced, each of our inspectors aims to be your advocate in the home buying process and is happy to answer any questions and explain any component of the home. We wish you all the best."
"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for taking the time to express your gratitude for Dan's hard work. We aim to be your advocate in this process and are here for you anytime you have questions about the report. We do not just provide the report and say goodbye like other companies....you can call us anytime to discuss the details of the report or if any issues arise in the future."
"Thanks! Scott has been working in the home inspection field for nearly 20 years and he loves to put his knowledge to work for his clients. We appreciate that you took the time out to tell others about the great work that Scott and Domicile Consulting does for their clients. Don't hesitate to call Scott if you have any questions or concerns about your home going forward."
"[Member Name Removed], thank you very much for taking the time to review Mark and Ken and express your gratitude for the hard work and expertise they provided during the inspection. We have built this company on being your one true advocate in the home buying process. We are looking out for you and you alone. We are only a phone call away."
"Okay Angies List Users...story time. In April of 2014 Mr. M. had us inspect the home that he references in his false and defamatory review above. At that time the area underneath the enclosed rear porch of the home was concealed behind a steel door and deadbolt lock. Our plucky and intrepid inspector took a photo of the locked door for his report and offered to return to the property once access was available to evaluate the inaccessible areas. Mr. M. failed to follow up on this offer. 4 years later a totally unrelated problem with his home caused him to call a contractor who did access the crawlspace and claimed to have found some serious structural issues. Mr. [Member Name Removed] then had an attorney send us a letter demanding that we pay for the demolition and rebuilding of his 2 story enclosed rear porch and his open rear deck. We referred the matter to our E and O insurance agent who chuckled at the chutzpah of this client and told us that his chances of being successful in his claim are slim to none and that slim just left the building. Please don't get me wrong, we are human and we make mistakes. Over the past few years we have compensated clients for two 'misses' that our inspectors (one of whom was fired) made in their inspections or in their reports. We did this after open and forthright discussions with our clients in which we admitted to our errors. I tell our inspectors this, 'when we mess up, we 'fess up but when we're right we stick to our guns'. Mr. M. apparently is under the impression that not only do we have x-ray vision capable of seeing through walls and locked doors but that instead of purchasing a home inspection in April of 2014 he bought a lifetime insurance policy against ever having to repair his home. I wish him luck."
"It was pleasure to around, through, and on top of your charming vintage home with you! Thanks for asking us to come out and help you to better understand how it works and what might be done to improve upon it."
"Mark is our newest inspector/engineer. He has decades of experience in civil engineering and has taken to home inspecting like a duck takes to water. He is one of several registered architects or engineers on our staff. There's not another inspection company around with our kind of talent. I'm glad you enjoyed working with him."
"It was a real pleasure to tour your beautiful building and then to meet with the unit owners. You are quite fortunate to have such a well built structure but, more importantly, to have a group of responsible and reasonable owners who are determined to address the repair and maintenance needs which come with owning a building 'in common'. Kudos to you all and thanks for asking me to help!"
"Thanks for asking me to come out and look over the floor issues at your gorgeous townhouse. Call back if there'[Member Information Removed] anything else I can do to help."
"Christy is not only a phenomenal inspector (inspectress?) but she's a highly talented and experienced architect, a marathoner, and a world-class mom. We are blessed to call her one of our team members. Thanks for letting other Angies List users know about Christy!"
"Thanks so much for taking the time to review the Domicile Consulting inspection you received. From Berwyn to Bannockburn and from Highland Park to Harvey we love helping buyers understand the condition of the home they are purchasing. We're also happy to help with any questions that come up as you live in, maintain, or renovate your home. We want to be your go-to resource for making your home safer, more comfortable, more efficient, and more durable."
"Your review is both encouraging and deeply humbling. It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to advising you on any home improvements you may make over the coming months and years. We at Domicile Consulting strive to be our client'[Member Information Removed] 'go-to' resource for optimizing the performance of their homes. Thank you!"
"It was a pleasure to work with you and thanks so much for your very kind review. We at Domicile Consulting believe that every homeowner should have easy access to all of the information they need in order to make their home safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more durable. Studies show that modern Americans spend 90% of their time indoors. Doesn't it make sense to better understand how our homes work and to start making the changes necessary to optimize them?"
"Hi [Member Name Removed].....Thanks for posting your overall positive review of our work. We offer 2 services that may have been more appropriate for your needs on this specific property. We can work at an hourly rate and we can also provide what we call a 'kick the tires' inspection. Not every buyer needs the kind of super-thorough inspection for which we are noted. I apologize for any communication snafu that may have prevented you from understanding this."
"Thanks AL member for your very kind and insightful review of Domicile's inspection work. Believe me, if we could perform a world-class inspection for less we would do so. If our clients read our reports carefully and put the information to use religiously they will absolutely live in a home that is safer, more comfortable, cheaper to operate, and more durable. In addition, the inspection fee is not a 'one and done' purchase. We are always available to chat with our clients when they are planning future repairs, upgrades, or renovations to their home. Thanks again and best of luck in your new home."
"Thanks for taking the time to review the inspection work Domicile did for you. I must admit that I'm a bit miffed at the pattern we're seeing on some of our reviews here. We get A'[Member Information Removed] across the board but then a B or a C for Price. I wish Angies List would change the Category from Price to Value. I firmly believe that our customers are well acquainted with the difference between those two parameters. The inability to differentiate Price from Value is what leads some home buyers to hire cut-rate, poorly qualified inspectors on what is usually the most important/expensive purchase of their lives. A thorough inspection and a detailed report are essential for the protection of the home buyer. If the inspector misses one thing say, the presence of asbestos HVAC duct embedded in the concrete slab of your split-level 1960'[Member Information Removed] home, you will live in a house with a ticking time bomb. Your home is more than a place to hang your hat; it'[Member Information Removed] a sacred space in which you live, laugh, love, and raise your family. Do you really want to hire a cheap inspector? Providing our clients with the highest level of inspection service doesn't come cheap for us. First of all, in order to recruit, train, and retain the very best inspectors in the industry we have to pay them a good wage. Then, we have all of the licensing, certification, insurance, ongoing education, marketing, back office, and other business expenses that the $195.00 Craigslist inspector doesn't have. Over the 40+ years that I've been in the construction and inspection industry I've noticed something that I still find strange to this day. Most folks take better care of their cars then they do of their homes. Do yourself and your family a favor. Use an inspector who has the knowledge and the desire to inform you fully about the sacred space you are considering for purchase. The money will come back to you in spades."
"We deeply appreciate your understanding and your willingness to work around the radon scheduling issues you experienced. We're doing our best to address any glitches on that end."
"Thank you so much for your very kind review as well as for referring us to your friend. Your experience describes the exact way that we've gone our business over the years; we try to do our job in a way that impresses our clients and prompts them to tell others about us. Please don't forget that where always available after the inspection if you need additional information on how to make your"
"Thank you so much for reviewing not only our inspection work but also our back office performance. We strive to make every part of your inspection experience as professional as possible. We are very grateful that you took the time to let others know about Domicile Consulting"
