They are reliable.

First and foremost - they answer the phone in a world where responsiveness is a lost art. Jon was very pleasant to deal with both over the phone and via email. They knew exactly where our house was, and were able to meet with us the next day and start immediately (which we needed!)
Zack is our dog walker and he leaves a little notebook with a report on each visit. The puppy is happy, we are happy - especially because I know that I can call or email and get a prompt response from Zack or Jon.

I am very happy with Dog Star Walkers. They are the fourth service I have tried since moving to the city and they (Zack and Jon) are the only service who tried to work with my dog. Sammie is a vocal German Shepard who has bad hips.
Since I've worked as a Vet Tech and pet sitter, I noticed right away the difference when Zack and Jon made their first visit. They did basic things (getting down to the dogs level and not making direct eye contact) to make my dog feel more at ease. They are also the only sitters who listened and didn't push her to h****** her walks and hurt her hips.
They've been very easy to work with for scheduling especially my work travel schedule.

I pay them $17 per dog. They are amazing. They are flexible. They are one of the very few companies that service my neighborhood in Millwood Park in Chicago, so they are fabulous. They are a great bunch of young guys, they came over met with us personally and the two gentlemen that run it are very, very nice individuals. They work every day with me on whether we need them to walk or not walk, so they are very flexible. I asked them one day if they could walk my dogs twice and they said they would be more than happy to do that for us, so they are just amazing.

We started using Dog Star Walkers in March, when we first purchased our puppy. I interviewed three different companies, and felt most comfortable with Kristen and her knowledge of puppies and dogs, in general. She walked our puppy the first few months, and was very attentive to her needs and ours. Then, Marika took over for her mom, and they made sure that our puppy got to know her first. Our puppy loves both of them. I feel great knowing that she is in good hands when we cannot be there.

We love Dog Star Walkers and so do our pets! They come to the house, take the dog on his own rather than with a pack of other dogs, give him individual attention, leave a detailed note describing how things went, and have developed a great relationship with our pets. They use biodegradable poop bags, always pick up after the dog and are conscious of our neighbors. When needed, they do a great job with the cat litter, making sure the area around the box is clean and remove all waste to the outdoor garbage. We feel lucky to have found a service that we can trust and count on to treat our animals and neighborhood as we would ourselves. We plan to use them for vacation care in the future.
