We thought it was only going to take 2-3 weeks to complete, but it ended up taking about 2 months from start to finish. However, we're really happy with the outcome. John is very responsive via text and phone calls. We priced this out with 4 other contractors and John was by far the best and most responsive.

Jon and his crew were prompt and worked extremely hard.  They did a great job including cleaning up when they were done.  They worked carefully and were very respectful to us and our home.  Jon was easy to work with and did all that he quoted us.  He was also extremely reasonable in price!  I'd use him again and recommend him to anyone.

As usual, I got 3 quotes before agreeing to have Jon and his team do the work.  I do have to give a special mention to another provider I found on Angie's list.  The company is called Puroclean and if you call them be warned.  Their quote was over $6000 more than Disaster Restoration Services.  They also do nothing to correct the problem, Puroclean does not do roof work, venting or anything I would expect with a price quote so dramatically high.  In fact the third quote I had was lower than Disaster Restoration Services.  I went with Jon because he is intelligent, warranties his work for 2 years and guess what?...Corrects the issue that caused the mold in the first place. 
He and his team came out and did a wonderful job on a hot day.  These guys were in tyvek suits and since the space wasn't vented properly it was probably 20 degrees hotter in there.  They were definitely professionals.  They also found some flexible HVAC venting that weren't properly installed and corrected those issues, free of charge.  They cleaned up so well you wouldn't really know they were even there.  They did spill some of the encapsulant on a wall that I didn't even notice.  They pointed it out to me and said they would come back and paint over it.  I declined, since we are having the room painted anyway, but it just shows that these guys are honest and trustworthy.  I'm really glad I found Jon and utilized his team.

Their estimate was detailed, with pricing for each line item. They were very responsive when asked for a revised proposal. Their price was competitive. One of their appointments was delayed, however he called to make sure we were informed. Their process seemed more comprehensive than competing proposals. Work is warranteed.

They came to provide mold remediation services. We had some mold in our attic from inadequate ventilation and wanted that addressed. They performed cleaning of the attic and mold encapsulation by painting over the mold areas. They also ran a ventilation fan in our roof for about 3 days. They seem to have done a good job. Jon was responsive in answering our questions about the job.

Overall, we were very happy with the work that Disaster Restoration Services did for our attic. We called to have an estimate done and Jon came out and provided an estimate including a detailed breakdown of the pricing. What we appreciated was that they were not only going to clean the mold, but ALSO that they planned to fix the venting, which is what was causing the mold to begin with. The bathroom vents were venting into the attic so they bought new vents to vent out the roof and fixed the venting system for our attic. We felt like this set them apart b/c there were other companies that wanted to just clean the mold, but not fix the root of the problem. In addition, they give a 2-year guarantee of their work.

Jon and team were phenomenal. I firmly believe he was the best contractor I have ever used. I was initially skeptical because his quote came in at about 1/3 of what I received from three other contractors. He however did a fabulous job - he was very thorough and careful about making sure the mold was contained and nothing was damaged. He was also extremely professional and went above and beyond several times. For example, I only paid to have air scrubbers in the space for 24 hours - he let me keep them for several weeks. He also brought in a dehumidifier (others charge extra) because I needed it. He also made several trips to my place at various stages of the project (I had another contractor working in parallel) and didn't charge extra for it. Just an all-around no-brainer to use him!

The project went very well. They responded promptly to our call for an appraisal of the project. The took their samples and got back to us as soon as they completed their tests on the mold. They called to schedule a time to remove the plaster, etc. They were again on time and finished their work in the time estimated. They were very professional and cleaned up the work site very nicely. Would use them again if we had another similar problem.

We had some mold in our attic due to poor ventilation through the soffit vents. We got three quotes from companies on Angie's List. All three quotes were close in price range, recommendation, and plan of action. We chose Disaster Restoration because Jon included re-venting our bathroom vent in the quote. He also offered a two-year guarantee. Initially, Jon came to our house, provided a prompt quote and detailed action plan. We scheduled the work, which included encapsulating the attic and using baffles to make sure the soffit vents were clear and open. Jon and his crew were timely, professional, and neat. They completed the work in one day, left the air-scrubber in place for an additional two days, and put things back in place at the end. We are very pleased with the service and would recommend his service to others.

So far we are completely pleased with the responses we?re getting but we haven?t made a decision about who we will use. It is a complicated situation but they?ve given us three quotes and the turnaround time has been less than a day. The experience so far has been excellent because they are very responsive, quick to call back, and quick to come up with ideas about what to do.

We were extremely pleased with Jon Schreiber, President/owner of Disaster Restoration Services, Inc. From his initial exploratory visit, through the finish of the work, he was on the job himself with his staff. He was always prompt, very courteous and conscientious of all the work that was being done and of our home. The loose connections of most of the ductwork in the crawlspace was a surprise that was not included in our contract... Jon knew those connections could not withstand the heavy pressure of the duct cleaning that was to be done... he bolted and taped all of the connections properly and never mentioned any extra cost. We will certainly rehire Jon and his company in the event, God forbid, we ever need his restoration services again and we certainly recommend him and his company highly.
