Short story: Foreman accused me of lying about something they broke and this project is still unfinished nearly five weeks after work begun. The project involved leveling the patio, which had sunk, and reconstructing a retaining wall, which had also settled. In order to fix the patio, Diaz had to move our hot tub. First, the retaining wall was not done correctly—their rebuild was shorter in height than the wall on the other side of the patio stairs. After this was pointed out to the foreman, they sent a crew over a few days later to even out the retaining wall, which looks good now. However, they still have not returned (four weeks later) to clean up the mortar and other stuff which is splattered all over the patio bricks. The other issue was that they damaged our hot tub when they moved it. When they came out to repair it at first, the foreman accused me of lying about the hot tub being broken. I told him that I did not appreciate being accused of dishonesty. They attempted a repair, which failed. They told me they needed to order a part. That apparently took 3 weeks. The part was installed and the repair failed. We then had another wait while they figured out that they needed to hire a professional to do the work. After a few more days, the hot tub was repaired and now works correctly. However, their contractor left trash all over the place. We are still waiting for the crew to return to finish cleanup, over five weeks after the job was begun. The only good thing has been the communication—their representative has consistently been responsive and apologetic for the issues, but this doesn't change the fact that the workmanship has been poor and the job has taken far too long to finish.

Ricardo, sales representative and lead estimator, was very responsive; the estimate was competitive, but the difference was that the crew could begin work in mid-October and complete it before bad weather set in. Crew came on time Monday morning, completed the entire job by Thursday. The paver work on the driveway was of very good quality and the stone work replacements for the front step pavers was excellent. (No more problems with loose pavers!) They didn't do a good cleanup at all and left a portion under the garage door not well done, but the Diaz Group gave immediate attention to the paver portion under the garage and corrected it. My only gripe is that the main crew didn't cleanup and was left with the cleanup. Ricardo did set a good price for an add-on, however. These guys do good, honest work. I recommend Diaz Group LLC.

From beginning to end the process was timely and professional.  The workers were conscientious, polite and very hard working.  Our front and back lawns are are completely transformed.  I highly recommend Diaz.

I worked primarily with Roberto Diaz, but had communication with others at the business as well.  They were all very responsive.  Roberto provided a quote in a timely fashion and they were able to fit me into their schedule relatively quickly.  
Initially the work was supposed to be done on a Thursday, but due to equipment problems, the project was delayed a day.  The entire project was completed in one day as promised.  They graded my lot (25X160), laid additional soil and seeded the lot.
I was not able to be home to oversee the project but I was satisfied with the quality of the work.

Diaz was willing to do the job when nobody else was doing this kind of work so late in the season.   They did the job promptly and with a high level of professionalism and quality.   I will be hiring them again this fall.

Ruben and his crew did a fantastic job on this labor intensive demo project. They showed up on time and stayed until the project was complete. This was our first phase for this project. When we decide to proceed with creating a uniquely landscaped backyard we will be calling back Diaz Group. Roberto was the primary contact and was helpful in coordinating the estimate and work date.

Roberto Diaz and his team did a tremendous job on our backyard patio, walkways, and steps. Roberto provided us with a very thorough estimate at the start and listened carefully to what we envisioned. He and his team worked diligently and delivered a knockout backyard -- worth every penny spent. Further, Roberto is an exceptional person; we felt we were in good hands and that he understood what we wanted and knew how to get us to the goal. Very nice people and we highly recommend this company.

Last Fall I needed my yard cleaned up very late in the season. I contacted Diaz Bros. in Nov. & they promptly sent a person out to give me an estimate. Then we had early winter storms. The weather cleared briefly and I was so impresses & grateful when the crew came out the day before Thanksgiving to do the work in my yard (trimming english ivy, leaf pick-up, trimming iris greens, mowing lawn). They did a great job.
After that great experience, I contacted Diaz Bros. this May for an estimate on a bigger landscaping project. Their rep came out on May 8 and said I could expect an estimate in 5 - 7 days. When that deadline passed I contacted them by phone and did receive an estimate within the week. I had some corrections on plant selection on the contract which I delivered to them via e-mail. This is when the process fell apart. I heard nothing for over a week. I called back, talked with my rep & was promised a revised estimate by that evening. I never received it and there was no follow-up contact by Diaz. My rep had explained that he was having a family emergency & while I sympathize with that I think that there should have been someone in the organization that should have stepped in and at least communicated with me.
So, I would say that if you need seasonal maintenance of your yard use Diaz. I do not recommend them for more elaborate landscaping needs. I rated Overall, Price & Quality based on my 1st experience and Responsiveness, Punctuality & Professionalism based on my 2nd.

It's very good. They were wonderful. The whole group was great. They were very prompt. They told me when they could do it and they were out there when they told me they made it. They're awesome. I would highly recommend them.

It came out great.  The patio and the plantings looked great and we are looking forward to being out in the year this spring.  Rafael and his crew did a great job, were punctual, let everything clean and organized each day, and kept us informed about progress on the project.

Went well, on time, on budget, but follow up on questions has been poor.

They are very friendly and prompt. The items I chose were not all the items that were installed. Even with photos provided and us reviewing exactly what I wanted.

Diaz Group was an outstanding service.  I had three different landscaping companies come out to give us estimates and opinions about our backyard, which was a mess.  Of the three, Diaz Group was the only one who arrived on time, which is important to me.  Additionally, Rafael was very friendly and gave me his honest opinion of the work.  He wasn't just there to give me a quick estimate and go, he was invested in the direction we wanted to take our yard and offered his professional advice.  I received a quote shortly after he left.  Of the three they were somewhere in the middle, so I would rate them as a competitive option pricing wise.
I was very impressed by the estimate meeting, but I was blown away by the actual work.  Due to weather we had to start a day or two late but they were very prompt in letting me know of the delay.  On the service date the team arrived on time and incredibly had the work done in around six hours.  They left no mess behind and let me spot check the lawn with them to make sure they didn't miss anything I wanted done.
We are now a month in and our lawn is the envy of the neighborhood.  Instead of having an ugly back yard that I am afraid to show I can now have people over with pride.  The sod has held brilliantly and everything looks great.   I still can't believe these guys could craft such a beautiful lawn from the pit that it was before. 
I will go no where else but Diaz Group for my future landscaping needs.

We've been using Diaz Bros now for about a year for weekly lawn care and spring/fall cleanups. The weekly lawn care costs is very competitive (approximately $100/month for our very large lawn). The Spring clean up was a little high for what they did (no mulching, mostly sweeping debris and aerating the lawn). On one occasion an employee did knock into our wood playset in back with a riding mower. Even though made the whole unit shake and it would have been impossible to miss, the employee ignored the incident. If I had not been looking outside at that exact moment, would have missed it. Went out to talk to the employee but he didn't speak English and he didn't bring over his supervisor at all. When pressed, the employees on site told me no one spoke English with them, which was odd. I called to complain and one of the Diaz Bros said his brother should have been there and he promised to talk to the crew, which was fine with me. Wasn't looking for compensation, just want them to be careful.

They did quite a lot of services for me for the past two years and I was very happy with them.

Rafael and his crew did an amazing job in transforming our front, back and side yards from a sorry concrete & river rock eye sore to an amazing urban oasis! The crew ran off the truck ready to work and were pleasant and diligent throughout the long project. We get so many compliments on the pavers and have not had any issues with water getting to our basement stairwell. Our yard looks so beautiful and we are very happy that we chose Diaz Group to complete this large and complicated landscaping overhaul! We will definitely use them again in the future!

We scheduled an estimate with Diaz after having a couple other quotes from other landscapers.  Omar came out to our house on a Friday evening and was very punctual.  It took about a week to get the drawings and proposal, but the price blew the others away and the details really didn't differ much.  It took a little while to hear back about when they would perform the work, but once they selected a date, they showed up on time and completed the work.  The new landscaping does look great.  The trees and plants are in excellent condition.  We would not hesitate to hire Diaz again to do other projects around our home.
