Detective Bed Bug

After speaking with several bed bug detection companies around the Chicago area, I decided on Detective Bed Bug. Shelly was extremely responsive, friendly and professional from beginning to end. They obviously know their stuff, have experienced dogs, and are reasonably priced. They came out with two dogs and did a full search. (One dog searches, then the other to ensure that nothing is missed and they serve as a check on each other. Luckily, no bed bugs were detected.) We are very confident in their services and I would not hesitate to contact them again if there is ever another concern.

Shelli and Dave were fantastic! They were very discrete, covering their company name on the van while at the location. They came with several dogs and would change dogs depending on each dogs specialty, eg. cluttered spaces vs empty spaces. ANY suggestion of a find from the dogs and the humans followed up with intense visual inspection. In addition to the inspections they provided a huge amount of information on how to eradicate the bugs, the information they shared was much more helpful that what our exterminator was giving. They worked closely with our board of directors to help us manage the clean up. And they hosted an information session for all building residents.

Shellie and David came onsite to inspect for bedbugs with one of their dogs(Jack). Their professionalism was superior to almost any company I have encountered in the service industry. They came prepared, were informative, and were extremely thorough in their inspection and follow up. They made a really uncomfortable situation for much easier to deal with.

Hopefully, you don't find yourself in need of your services but if you do then I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Shellie and Dave were so helpful and friendly. Since we had sprayed with peppermint oil they could not bring the dogs over to do a full inspection. That inspection with the dogs costs $350. Instead, they offered to come over and do a visual consultation and did not charge us. They visited with us for about 45 minutes and could find no evidence of bed bugs. My husband has a terrible rash but I had no symptoms. A dermatologist told us it had to be bed bugs. But we were skeptical bc there was no evidence. Thank goodness, Dave and Shellie found no evidence of bed bugs. They reassured us and gave us advice on what to look for. We offered them a donation for their time. If we ever did have a problem, I would call them back right away.

It went very well. The handlers were knowledgeable and the dogs were well-behaved and efficient. I haven't had any problems since.
