Their designer had no clue about working with budgets. We gave her a $18K budget to get a room redesigned for our baby in the house. After a month of delays and multiple nudges, she came back with work for $30K+ !, and tried to sell us to it. It was too late for us to negotiate as the baby was due in 4 mts, and we just ended up recontracting it and doing part of it myself - UNDER BUDGET

We met with the designer about five times and we clearly gave her a budget that we needed to base this project on. The designer obviously did not understand the meaning of "budget" even though she acknowledged it multiple times. She kept saying that she had relationships with other contractors that would do the work within the budget and that was apparently not true because the contractors would not return the phone calls. She kept saying that they could do the work for our budget. She then came up with a design which would've cost us about three times our budget. I then had contacted the manager and his response was that they had no control over the costs of the contractors. They had pushed us into a corner by delaying the time line. They had actually taken two months to provide final pricing (estimated cost $1000). So, after all of that we did not have them do the job. We ended up doing the project ourselves within the budget. I just want to warn people that this company rips people off. The designers are not competent to work within budgets that people give them.
