so impressed by his knowledge of the market and professionalism we invited him
to give us a pitch as to why he should sell our home. He was competing against another large
Chicago real estate firm, which is co-owned by my friend and fraternity
brother. Dana won the listing by being
more prepared, having a better sales plan and by being more professional than the most senior agent
from the other firm (who is also extremely successful and even more experienced
than Dana).
We listed our home in November of 2012 for $1.4 million, and
after only 5 weeks he had us a solid offer for only 5% less than asking price
in the middle of winter! He held open houses every weekend and marketed the property to buyers and brokers like a madman,
We closed 3 weeks later and made 10% on our property - even though we had purchased it near
the top of the market in August of 2007.
Dana was able to showcase all the wonderful features of our
house and help us realize more value than we had even hoped for.
It is fair to say that his sales plan and guidance on staging made us at least $100,000.
When we found a home to purchase that was listed below market value, Dana was able to get the listing agent to accept our bid 6 hours after the house was listed. We paid less than the asking price and Dana put together such a strong contract that we got the house even though 5 other bids higher than ours came in within a week.
I have recommended him to everyone I know and will never use
another broker for any real estate transaction in Illinois; please feel free to
