Thorough professional review. Basis for remediations

We had a home inspector that recommended getting an expert's opinion before we purchased our house. Home inspector had told us that there aren't too many people in the field that are EIFS certified so the costs are pretty expensive. I was hesitant to hire a dryvit inspector because of the high price and we had heard that there were individuals in the field that claimed they were experts but hadn't had formal training and so to pick our inspector wisely.
Clifford A. Kapson is the president and the individual that came out to inspect our dryvit. Cliff was patient with me as I grilled him on his credentials and he explained his experiences patiently. He has an up to date EIFS inspectors certification and other certifications that made him appear to be qualified. He was kind enough to accomodate our schedule and came out on a Sunday although he typically only works during the week. He was there for a couple of hours to inspect the dryvit and provided us with the report timely (within a couple of days). He explained as he inspected so it was educational for us. We recently moved in and we haven't had any issues but we know we can rely on him to give us advice if we ever run into any issues. Although expensive, we'll probably have him come back every couple of years at least. Better to pay the inspection fees than to run into large issues in the future.

They examine the stucco to make sure there are no issues. He is able to rate it if it is a problem that needs to be taken care of immediately. He will check the area to see if it has gotten worse or if it meets the standards.
