Steve the owner is a scammer. He talks a good game but doesnâ t back up his talk. He doesnâ t back up his work. Roof is leaking and he wonâ t respond. Called every day for two weeks or more and he didnâ t return a call. Left several messages. The whole project from start to finish was a complete mess. Stay away. The savings arenâ t worth the aggravation.

Clearing Construction did a fantastic job replacing the roof of our home. From teardown to replacement and cleanup a truly professional job! They handle all aspects of the project from procurement of materials as well as obtaining all permits. They were very competitive on price as well which made our use of the services a GREAT value!

I have only positive comments to say about Clearing Construction Company. Steve, the owner, is a man of integrity, a man of his word, besides which, heâ s one of the nicest people Iâ ve ever met. My roofing job was a large and complicated one, 36 squares, as itâ s defined, with different pitches and angles. The crew arrived before the promised 7:30 am and worked almost 12 hours until the roof was done and everything cleaned up. Steve was there for most of the day, although the crew continued at the same efficiency whether or not he was present. Compared to the other 2 companies that quoted the job, Steve was the only one to climb on the roof to understand the problems, in sleet no less. He was the only one who didnâ t ask for money up front, and even when there was follow up work to do the next few days including a rain delay, he never asked for even a partial payment until it was totally finished. He was the only one to believe he could solve the leaking problem. I was delighted when his quote was the lowest; to be fair the others quoted a higher end product. Iâ m a senior and a 35 or 45 year warranty didnâ t interest me. Extra work was found after tearing off the old roof. Quite a bit of plywood was needed; the possibility of additional cost was discussed in the quote and the additional cost was reasonable. Steve took photos to provide back up documentation, showing the rotted ply. He also took finished photos. The house looks better and is sounder than new. Iâ d hire Steve and his crew again in a heart beat. Iâ m looking forward to a winter where my roof doesnâ t leak with ice dams, thanks to Steveâ s ingenuity, knowledge and experience. Clearing is, hands down, the best construction company Iâ ve ever worked with.

Initially the roofing of my home and garage was rather satisfying in 2016. Unfortunately the roof is currently leaking and has destroyed my bedroom ceiling and I can not get the company to respond to my issue. This is not the response or should I say lack of response that I expected. Therefore I will not be recommending Clearing for any work.

Steve's crew did an excellent job in all areas from roof removal, clean up and of course installation. Steve addressed any concerns I had. My roof looks great, as many neighbors have told me. They did my roof in one day as promised at a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Steve and Clearing Construction.

I got estimate next day after talked with Clearing Construction, they promised to do my roof and gutters in one day and gave a really good estimate and price . Then I signed contract, it took 4days to order material and roof and gutters had been done 100% in ONE day as promised. Around my house they left clean, I'm really glad I'm chose Clearing Construction . I would give 11 to of 10. Great job

Steve and his crew were amazing! Steve was always responsive and answered any questions I had. They completed a whole tear off and roof replacement in less then 6 hours! Hard working crew. Finished a complicated tear down and re roof in one day. Work site was left clean and tidy. Owner, Steve was easy to work with and he helped solve a small problem with drainage that no one else did. Would hire this company again.
