CITY GROOMERS

This place does a great job grooming my dog. He always comes out looking great and smelling great. They're really accommodating if I have to drop him off early as well. The lady who runs the place is always really nice and friendly. I will definitely keep coming back!

Our regular dog groomer is in the midst of moving her location so she was unable to groom our dogs this month. She recommended we take them to City Groomers. We called and made a firm appointment for both pets. At the time we made the appointment, we informed them that one of our dogs is almost 15 years old and that he has a fatty tumor that they need to be careful around. We were very specific. Despite that information, they accepted the appointment and waited for one week. Upon arrival, we were met with a cold reception and one of the owners (apparently there are twin sister owners) who just called out our last name and picked up a note card to write down the dog information and get our address. She did not greet us, she did not wish us a good morning, she did not interact with our dogs. Rather, she was immediately perturbed that her sister had taken our appointment saying, and quot; she does not want old dogs unless she has had them since they were puppies.and quot; When we told her that our 15 year old had been at the same groomer for all his life, she repeated that she did not want old dogs unless she had had them for a long time. It made her and quot;nervousand quot; because and quot;she had a bad experience.and quot; We asked why she did not call us prior to the appointment so we could cancel it and make other arrangements so as not be inconvenienced bringing our dogs there only to be turned away. She had no good response. With her attitude, we would not have stayed there anyway. Her demeanor and attitude would have indicated to us that she was not a very caring, loving dog person. She also told us that she could not understand why our groomer was referring so many dogs to them, as if she was 'put-out' by the extra business demands on her. She told us she did not even know our groomer. Bottom line: this is not a place we would recommend taking one's loved dogs to and placing them in the hands of such negative attitudes and poor client /customer service protocols.

Both of my dogs are "rescues", and came with issues of trust, among others. I started using City Groomers about two years ago at the recommendation of a friend. It was always a traumatic event trying to get my dogs to cooperate entering the previous groomer's shop. I thought at first it was because all dogs hate baths, but after a few times, I didn't feel comfortable leaving them. In fact, it broke my heart! It is a totally different story now. They love going to the "beauty parlor", and when being led away, they never even look back..bye mom! Diana and Denise are the best.

It has been a pleasure to work with City Groomers. They were able to schedule my dog's services in a timely fashion. When I dropped the dog with them, I warned them that my dog always barks when she's in a crate. They weren't worried about it at all. They finished her grooming in less time than estimated and when I arrived to pick her up, not a bark was to be heard. These women must have some magical powers. I picked up a clean, happy dog. What else could we ask for?

They do a wonderful inexpensive service. They are very friendly and courteous to us. They are very fast and contact us as soon as our dog is ready. They keep their appointments on time and they don't give us any problems for being late for an appointment. They also keep our dog until we can pick him up, they are very flexible.
