refuses to add more plants or to even provide the plants for me to plant myself, however, saying they "no longer hold a binding contract with NSG, and this restoration work holds no warranty." (Apparently this variety of hosta is not common and hard to procure, according to other landscapers). It's disappointing CW refuses to stand behind its work product, despite the the plantings they were paid to perform by NSG and the eyesore that remains. It would seem CW would care more about its reputation and accountability.

We used them last year. They came out every week I think. This year to save a little bit of money, we're not going with them, but we did have them to put in some sod in a little patch of grass. They did a good job there. We didn't want to spend as much as we had been. You know what the Chicago houses are like, it's a little parkway with a patch of grass and it was costing us about $70 a week; $280 a month, that's a lot of money. They are expensive and the grass wasn't doing too well since we had to get new sod. Now we're just going with your basic guy with a lawnmower that's going to do it for a lot less.

I liked the representative. He was responsive when we had issues. People will know if they can't afford them, they can't afford them. That's an easy call. As far as reliability and coming and handling what they are supposed to; but there were some issues; they fertilize and do all that stuff; it's extra services that's why they get more money, but someone ended up over-fertilizing and the grass kind of browned out. So now we got the new sod and it's looking a lot better. All things considered, for certain things, I would use them again.

It did not go well at all. The sales representative I dealt with originally was Paul Haschke. When he asked what I was looking for I explain that the lawn had never been taken care of for years and years, and because of that it was completely overrun with weeds (which he observed), and that's all that grows. I said I didn't know what needed to be done, but what I wanted was a completely new grass lawn, and that's why I was turning to the experts because I didn't know enough about lawn care. He submitted a proposal which I accepted. The proposal stated they would aerate and overseed the entire yard and cover with peat moss. Not being aware of what's necessary for lawn care I assumed, incorrectly, that Mr. Haschke's proposal included everything that was necessary to achieve my goal because that's what I asked for. I noticed that the weeds continued to grow, and grass did not grow. Someone did come out after a couple of phone calls. His name was Neal, and he explained that they had done what the proposal stated. That it did not call for turning the lawn and removing the weeds. While that may be true, when I told Mr. Haschke that I did not know what was needed, but wanted a new grass lawn Mr. Haschke should have included everything that was necessary to achieve my goal. So, now instead of a nice new lawn I have weeds continuing to grow in abundance. I feel that I was not given what I requested. Christy Webber should do what I originally asked for which is a new grass lawn, or refund half the cost.

"Thank you for taking the time to advise us of your recent experience with Christy Webber Landscapes. Outstanding! Highly professional. With a small deposit they drew out an architectural landscaping design for my yard. After just a few modifications, we came up with an implementation plan to meet my budget and timeframe. As well, during the implementation, I was still free to make minor adjustments as they too provided great professional advice and guidance along the way. Now, l have an outdoor paradise and my neighbors have contracted with CW for their garden needs. Additionally, I have just rehired for maintenance service.

They were good. They were on time. They cut bushes down that we didn't want to be cut. There should have better communication.

Over the years, we've had some ups and downs with Christy Webber Landscaping. But for the past few years, Adrian Medina has been the manager for our association and things have gone very well. He and his crew are attentive, responsive and get the job done.?

The first call was not returned at all. I called a second time and they finally returned my call. They quoted me a price for $300 to cut my lawn. They did not see my lawn. Their prices are outrageous. They referred me to someone who missed the appointment and didn't call me until afterwards.

I called Christy Webber, but no one ever return my call. Most
recently, I saw a Christy Webber employees working on a yard near my
home. I talked with the employees and told them that I was interested,
called the office and did receive a call back. The gentlemen pulled a
business card out of his pocket. He told me to call the Field
Supervisor. His name is Joseph. I called Joseph on March 5,
2014. I called Joseph's cell phone (listed on the business card) and
left a message. Joseph has not returned my call either. I agree
with another reviewer, Christy Webber must only like working with
apartment building, town home associations and city government. Too
bad for the little homeowner.

We have been using CWL for a few years now to plant our seasonal flowers, install new landscape and do seasonal cleanups. Carly R. In the office is awesome to work with. So easy to email with questions. The pricing is totally fair and I find them to be a great deal with the highest quality of work and products.

We had a row of sad-looking bushes in front of our condo bldg, so we decided to get some estimates to replace them with something that might do better there. Having used Christy Webber's company in the past at a different location, they were one of my first calls. I spoke with Trish and let her know we were thinking of going with ornamental grasses instead. She agreed they would work well for our location, and would be low-maintenance and drought tolerant once established. She quickly sent me an estimate which included photos of the variuos available grasses. The estimate came in within our budget and compared well with the other estimate we got, so we signed a contract with CWL for the work. It took about a month the get our job scheduled in their lineup, but it is their busy time of year after all and the waiting period was not an issue for us.

The crew arrived at the expected time on the day of the installation, and quickly got to work removing the old bushes and mulch before I even got down there to greet them. Trish accompanied the crew in order to accept the final payment from me, and when I asked for a slight change in the placement of the grasses she relayed the change to the crew immediately. I also asked to have the same mulch they were using spread on some bushes we were keeping which were next to the new grasses, which they were happy to do. The crew was very professional and did a great job from set up, to installation, to clean up afterwards. The grasses they brought to the job were beautiful, healthy specimens. Throughout the process, Trish was very responsive to my many questions and always got back to me within one day with answers. She also patiently explained to me several times how to water the grasses properly at first to help them get well-established. She was terrific to work with!

I highly recommend using CWL for any landscaping needs you may have. We could not be more pleased with our new landscaping and it looks great!

I would highly recommend them. They are a lot more expensive, but when I contacted them they were very friendly. I am big on friendliness and customer service. They have great hospitality, they are prompt, and gave the estimate within one days time. They are fast and know how to talk to their customers.

For an example with their customer service: They had accidently not closed our gate correctly and it was left opened a little. I had called them to let them know. They were apologetic and that really showed to me that they were genuine and honest about their mistake.

CWL was incredibly responsive from the very first call we made. They ALWAYS called back, and ALWAYS were on time for every appointment. After finishing the design phase, the the installation team kept up the tradition of outstanding service. They were always on time, cleaned up every day, and did a fantastic job!

The final results exceeded our expectations. It was a great value, and our landscaping is still getting compliments from neighbors and folks walking (or driving) past our home.

I met with the designer to discuss the problems I had with my garden and my ideas for changes. After talking we walked through the yard and discussed specific plants I wanted to keep and my main problem - an area where a large tree had been removed.

The designer prepared and discussed a plan with me. the plan was very detailed with photos and descriptions of all plants to be installed. A contract was signed.

The entire project was completed in a very timely manner while working with weather issues. I was kept informed at all times and everyone, including the individual workers, was very responsive to any questions/concerns that I had.

After the project was completed, there was a final walk through with the designer. Plants and their care were discussed as well as changing the position of some structures.

Overall, I was very happy with the final garden as installed and the very professional work of everyone involved.

Christy Webber came out and gave the best bid on my landscaping project. They removed all the old plants and replanted my parkway with pachysandra. I had them continue with the pachysandra in my front yard along with an edge of bushes. Hostas were planted on the side of the front steps and sod was laid in the backyard. I did not ask them to put in my pavers but they helped me unload them from my car and when I did not set them properly they reset them for me. They were polite and very professional. I would not hesitate in using them again.

The price is $50 a week for their services. Their price is very reasonable. Generally speaking the service is good but we had a little problem this year that took a little while to get rid of. They accidentally used weed killer on our lawn as fertilizer and it killed the whole lawn, but they were very responsive once they realized the problem. So they came out and then gave me a completely new sod. Although we had to push them a little bit, they ended up helping with the cost of the watering and the lawn now looks terrific. I'm not sure if I'll use them again on weeding because they do grass but I don't know if they do flower beds and weeding particularly well. We've had a couple of transitions in supervisory personnel that were a little rough until they got things settled. They are great on lawn care and I give them an and lsquo;A' on that. I think their price is very reasonable. They are a big company and I have a seasonal contract with them. So when you break it down, it's literally $50 a week. Given what they do and how well they take care of the lawn, I couldn't pay the neighborhood's kid $50 a week and get better service. When they come, you know that they are here because the law is perfectly manicured and there's no stray grass. They take care of their business. I just don't think that they do as good a job with the weeding of the flower beds. I had to have several conversations with them about what needed to get done. The lawn care is excellent but the rest of the service is not as good. It took me many more conversations than it should have to get things right. I'll probably use them again in the future. I'll surely use them for my grass but I may not use them again for any additional services.

Called both of Christy Webber's offices seeking a quote for some water puddling issues in my backyard. On four different times, I was told that a project manager would be giving me a call to discuss the details of my project. No one ever called me. On the fifth and final time, I was connected with a project manager who apologized for the lack of response. He assured me that he himself would give me a call on the following Monday and come out. He stated that he would call me at 5:30 p.m. This time slot came and went without so much as a courtesy call to reschedule. I will NOT do business with a landscaping company whose word isn't worth the dirt that they landscape with.

In late April, 2010, I discussed the evidence that the garage roof was sagging markedly and that water was leaking inside with Tony Butterworth while he was at the house to discuss another job.By August, 2010 I became aware of a significant leak in the garage and called in a contractor to look at the situation. Upon removing the wall board on the garage ceiling directly under the planter on the south wall, he could see that the insulation was wet, that the joist was compromised and that there was a risk of the joist failing. He surmised that the weight on the roof had penetrated the membrane. He also noted that under the planter on the north wall, the roof was similarly compressed though there was less evidence of water inside. I called the firm on August 31st to ask for help in saving the plants and they were respnsive in helping remove the plants from the large planters. One of the sumac has already died, however. To prevent a possible joist collapse, we have disconnected the irrigation pipes, emptied the south and north planters of dirt and removed it from the roof. They were a total loss. As a result of this situation, I incurred a major financial loss less than 2 years after Christy Webber did this work. Christy Webber billed me $9,767.27 for the planters alone. Soil, plants and irrigation are in addition to this. The repair bill for the damage to the garage roof was $5,450. I have communicated this to the firm in writing. Their response was that they could bear no - zero -responsibility despite the evidence of the planter weight compressing the roof and the fact that the penetration of the roof membrane occurred under the planters. They have essentially dared me to sue them to recover damages. I am considering my options but would never use Christy Webber again nor recommend them to anyone.

We've been generally happy with their service. We have a very small area of grass and landscaping so it's a lot of money for us to spend, but our condo association has preferred having them do the work since no one in our association is that handy with landscaping. We've struggled to grow grass in a particular spot and we've been working with them to re-seed. They've been responsive to our calls and their crews have been helpful when I've asked them questions. I would use them for future landscaping projects but as with any landscaping company, you'll want to stay on top of them and make sure they know exactly what you're trying to achieve.
