Chicagoland Hardwood Flooring

We've used Chicago Hardwood Flooring before--to repair a poor job done by another vendor and to install a new hardwood floor. We wouldn't use anyone else!  Darek is punctual and respectful of our time and money. His workers are exceedingly professional and their work is impeccable.
We've recently purchased a home in Ravenswood Manor. Our object was to remove old carpets and either instlal new hardwood or recupe the old. Darek's "excavation" of linoleum found nearly pristine original hardwood and his workers were able to remove all the asphalt glue and restore them. The floors are gorgeous.
The work took about 5 days.  It went way over the the estimate BUT we knew it might b/c of the labor involved to remove the linoleum. Darek informed us upfront that he couldn't accurately estimate until we saw how much labor would be involved in the excavation. There were no surprises.
We're thrilled with the results.

THEY EVEN DID EXTRA WORK FOR NO CHARGE, LITTLE STUFF BUT NEVER EVEN ASKED FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION. I WISH EVERY COMPANY WAS THIS RESPECTABLE AND DETAILED. Great job. The floors in one room were covered with some sort of adhesive used to secure the carpet to the floor. Removed it all and left floors looking great. I have noticed that some of the saw dust and other fillers used to fill the gaps have come loose. That said, I did not pay extra to have the gaps filled. For the price, I received more than I paid for.

Darius quoted this job for us in 5/2007 and was very patient as we wavered about when to do it. When I called him about 6 months later to schedule the job, he requoted the job, sent his master carpenter to be sure that they could do it properly, and then scheduled the job. All this was done in about 2 weeks. The work was skillfully done and the carpenter solved some major problems. They were professional, polite, quiet,and very neat. When they realized that they needed something from home improvement store, they did the round trip very quickly. These guys were all about doing the job right the first time, real perfectionists. Everything looks beautiful and I'm finally able to forget about the first botched job.

It went very well. My only complaint would be that they didn't tell me place tarts around everything so that it wouldn't get dust on everything but it would have been nice if they reminded me. This is the second time I've worked with them and I would work with them again.

Dariuz and team were great to work with. Quick with the estimate and during visit determined less work was needed. Work was completed within days of the first phone call. Their knowledge, personalities, and work was great. They cleaned up well. Fun and friendly and trustworthy. They even fixed our back door that sticks just because! They created 3 new areas of floor that was ruined from 100 years of steam radiator weight, valve leaking, and general settling. We are looking to have them refinish all of our floors (1600 sq ft) because of their service for our repair work.

Dariusz and his team spent approximately 5 days power-sanding the varnish and re-applying new varnish. They started with the water/burn spots in order to set our expectations early on regarding what type of results we could expect. We couldn't be happier with the way the floors turned out. The team did a fantastic job uncovering the natural beauty of our hardwood flooring. They also left us a special cleaning solvent and mop for future cleaning needs.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THIS COMPANY. MAREK STANISZEWSKI (THE OWNER)CAME TO MY HOUSE AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THE DAY AFTER I CALLED HIM. THE WORK WAS DONE LATER THAT WEEK, AND TURNED OUT BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. BECAUSE FLOOR SANDING CAN BE A MESSY PROPOSITION I EXPECTED THERE TO BE SOME SAW DUST TO CLEAN UP - BUT THEY LEFT THE ROOMS SPOTLESS.
