We wanted to restore the procelain subway tile in this original bathroom in our house. There were a variety of holes and cracks reflecting damage done over 100 years. Phil filled repaired all of these. The repairs are not invisible, but we never expected that to happen. But the repairs are extraordinarily good. He was very careful to match the color in the repairs as best as he possibly could. He also did a great job of cleaning the small, hexagonal tiles on the floor, which we had never been able get even remotely clean as this. He spent a total of almost 12 hours straight working on the bathroom. I don't think that I have ever seen such a dedicated craftsman at work. We are completely happy with the results of his work.
We had also asked him about cleaning the stonework in our other bathroom and our kitchen, which are about 12 years old. He referred us to "Mr. Marble", Michael Youhanna, for that work. Michael did a great job on that.

I have to say, Phil knowledge of stone and granite rivals a geologist. If I know more than the professional I'm hiring, I don't consider them a professional. Phil's that and more. He's honest, courteous, personable and dependable. He arrived on time for the quote and install. He was straightforward about what it would take and the hours it would entail. Which made me comfortable about the price. The Install went smooth and afterwards the cleanup was great. I'm glad I called him and will use him on any projects I have in the future.

Phil was prompt in giving an estimate and started work immediately after assessing his broad knowledge of this complex stone (limestone). He worked within our busy schedule and laid out his plan of execution well. He pointed out to us a number of things that fall within the warranty of the new home. His background as an artist affected his careful approach to enhancing the beauty of this stone. What a Godsend Phil is! He not only filled the two small holes in my travertine, but he spent a LOT of time filling them and then matching the color and patter EXACTLY to the point where the naked eye could not see where the repairs were done. The guy is a craftsman. No, he's more than that-he's a stone artist. And he's courteous and professional to boot. And he takes his job very seriously--he seems to know everything about stone, granite, marbile and tile and how to clean it, do preventative maintenance, and repairs. And his price was VERY reasonable--in general and especially considering that other companies wanted to just replace the countertop or cut out and replace the tile.Thanks to Phil, I sold the aforementioned condo and just moved into a new house. My wife and I managed to stain our brand new porcelain floor in our Master Bath with the red ink from a Target bag the night we moved in. So I called Phil the next day and he was there within hours. Just left our house after trying various chemicals and eventually bleach to get the stain out of the porcelain. Then used a torch to dry it and then resealed the grout and tile where he worked. I can't tell there was ever a stain there--let alone that work was done on it, and these tiles were brand new and pristine. In short, if you need any stone, granite or marble maintenance or restoration, Phil is THE guy. I'll use him for years to come and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone that asked for a reco.

Phil called ahead of arriving and arrived on time. After reviewing the tasks to be performed he immediately set to work. Phil explained why he was handling each problem in a certain manner. He also provided tips for ongoing maintenance of the counter tops. Phil is very knowledgeable about granite and the various other counter top options available to consumers. The work area was completely cleaned up. Overall we were very satisfied with the results.

Phil is a self taught scientist with a vast knowledge of physics, chemistry, scientific history and a remarkable story teller. I enjoyed immensely his presence in our house and his professional, expert skill in his trade. Absolutely Wonderful....

Phil was extremely knowledgable about stone, and he has extensive experience. He was prompt, friendly, and meticulous. We will definitely use him for routine sealing of our counters and floor.

Phil called with my annual reminder to reseal the granite counters in our home. We set up a time that was convenient for me. He came out and did his usual thorough and professional job and left. I'll see him again next year.

He did an incredible job - the stone shower looks like new. He really cares about his work, a real artisan. He also instructed me on proper care for the shower. My experience with Phil was great. He returned my phone call, set an appointment for an estimate within a few days. The work was done within a week after accepting the proposal. I was pleasantly surprised to find a contractor who still take pride in his work. My kitchen look fantastic as well as my kids bathroom. Phil calls us once a year to schedule our appointment. He is professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and meticulous. He has kept our counter tops looking like new. We have a new granite vanity in a bathroom that Phil will be caring for after it is a year old. He is a pleasure to work with.

I like the fact that they sealed the kitchen countertops for free. I like the quality of work that they did in the bathroom; it came out really nice. The guy was really nice and told me that some of the things that I asked to have done couldn’t be done; he didn’t try to sell me something that I don’t need.
