I have used them 20+ times a year for the past three years. With the exception of one hiccup (a substitute sitter) they have been great. I am an overprotective mom to my cats and like to be in control of a situation so it's not easy for me to turn my pets and house over to a petsitter. However, I have been using Chicago Petsitters for approximately a year now and am very happy with their service. We had nothing but wonderful experiences with them and their staff. We always looked forward to the detailed notes they left after each visit, detailing what they did and any fun stories/activities from the visit. We have since moved away from Chicago, and really miss having them around!!

Chicago Pet Sitters is a great service and a good, professional company. I have used them about 20 times over the last year. They communicate. They care about pets. The sitters are usually the same people so your pets can get familiar with them. I recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure their pet will be well cared for during a vacation or business travel.
Use Chicago Pet Sitters and don't gamble with a self-employed person or fly-by-night operation. I had to learn this the hard way. In the past, I have had some bad experiences with pet sitters: one basically mislead me about the times she was making her visits (morning, afternoon and evening would be 10 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM). I had another sitter for a long time and realized after installing a new security system her visits were not the 20 minutes she had committed to, but were less than 5 minutes (one was a remarkable 2 minute in-and-out). These are people who are not only dishonest but uncaring about a pet's welfare.

Dana and her staff are great! She's extremely responsive, organized and professional. We had tried several other petsitting services in the past, and this was the first time I felt I confident leaving our cats for a week.
She has a thorough questionnaire about the pets, including their personalities, habits, health and special needs. During the introductory meeting, I was able to meet both Dana and the actual catsitter who would be tending to our and quot;babiesand quot;. They took time to both get to know our cats, as well as discuss the overall process and methods for the visits. Dana asked how we'd like our daily updates -- via email or text, with photos or without. And like clockwork, every day during our vacation we got precise and detailed updates about the visits.
I was also able to schedule specific windows of time in the AM and PM for the visits. This was important to me, as our cats are not used to being alone for more than 12 hours at a time. There is an upcharge for extra-early and extra-late visits, so this contributed to making the week's bill higher than with previous petsitters. Totally worth it, though, for the peace of mind I got in exchange.
When we returned, the cats seemed calm and well cared-for. I will definitely use CPS again.

Overall it went very well. Before the trip, Dana, the owner
and Angelique, the care provider, came over the house to get to know the cats.
I was able to ask questions and discuss concerns and how best to care for the
cats. Angelique did an excellent job - she sent us emails daily, often with
pictures of the cats, indicating how the visit went and what the cats did that
day. It kept us from worrying while away. When I got back the cats were happy
and didn’t seem distressed, even though they naturally wanted some attention. I
was very relieved that the cats were fine after such a long trip, and the house
was left in good order. I feel very comfortable with the service and will definitely
use them again.

The will treat your animals like their own children. They are reliable, and they'll even leave detailed notes about each day's interactions.

It went great. We found them on the internet. They came out to meet us and, more importantly, to meet the dogs. Dana probably spent about 45 minutes here, just talking about the dogs, getting to know them, allowing us to ask whatever questions were important to us, etc. She evidently loves animals, and it showed. She made us feel very relaxed and very comfortable with our decision.

We absolutely love Chicago Pet Sitters and it probably isn't exaggerating to say that they've become part of our extended family...our first dogwalker, Jenn, even became our wedding photographer! But their foremost talent is taking loving -- and equally important, ttruly repsonsible -- care of the animals they care for -- and I think that's directly a result of the kind of business Dana (the owner) runs. Unlike so many other companies in this space, Dana realizes that her greatest asset is her people (everyone she hires seems to be consistently terrific), and also that building trust with her clients depends on effectively managing those people and the business overall in an organized, dependable way (like running weekly staff meetings and assigning long-term walkers to each pet). The people side is truly their distinguishing characteristic -- we've had 2 dogwalkers (after our first one left to pursue photography full-time), and they have both been out of this world -- kind, totally accountable (I never thought twice about giving them our alarm code) and truly love our dogs. They've also gone FAR above and beyond the call of duty on several occasions -- cleaning up messes the dogs have made and even staying with our very ill dog for over an hour while waiting for us to rush home from work -- truly, they treat them like their own pets. They also leave fabulous notes every day that make you feel like you didn't miss much -- sounds silly, but it really gives you the confidence that your pets are being cared for lovingly and capably while you can't be there. I couldn't speak more highly of them -- they are gems!

We hired Chicago Pet Sitters to care for our cat for 6 days. We found the company online...their Web site is very informative and professional. The owner of this company (Dana) is wonderful...she responded immediately to our request for information and ended up taking care of our cat herself. Dana came twice a day and would send a text message to us to let us know that everything was ok. She also left written reports after every visit, which were fun to read after we returned from vacation. Everything was done exactly as requested and the price is reasonable, given the level of service. We will definitely use Chicago Pet Sitters again.

I was able to obtain service for the weekend on short notice. The owner is very pleasant and responds quickly to my calls and emails. She sent a sitter who had been to my home another time I was away- so she was familiar with my cats. I like that they send a text message to your phone to let you know they have been there. They also leave personal notes about the cats and their activities for you to read when you return. From what my sitter wrote it seems that she did do what she said as she described the cats' personalities and habits very well. I have used Chicago Pet Sitters several times and have been very happy with their service. They are flexible in meeting your needs for what days to come by. Their website is very professional which tells me that they are invested in and proud of their business and its success.
