I took my son's computer here last week. It wouldn't hold a charge and turn on. They were able to FIX it the same day! We really appreciated that cause my son needed the laptop for his E-learning. Thank you Computer Land for the fast service.

Just as expected and did a complimentary upgrade to another computer that had a minor issue.

They inspected the machine, provided a description of the needed repairs, an estimate and proceeded to  perform the repairs within the estimate.  They did a great job at a reasonable price.

I would definitely recommend you use Chicago Compterland as they are Very Professional in All aspects.  My cracked laptop screen was replaced quickly within the time frame they said initially and at a very fair price.  When I asked questions of Stephan he was Very Polite and most important Very Informative.  I would Definitely use them again and plan to bring in another laptop for diagnostics.

They were very prompt. They promised me that it would be within a day or two, and it was ready the next morning.

I'm a virtual assistant and in business for myself. I do what I'm supposed to do in regards to my computer - I backup, I regularly run virus scans, I don't click on questionably attachments, I block emails from scammers, change my passwords on a regular basis etc.
I have to be vigilant as the computer is my business. Unfortunately, doing all that still wasn't enough as mischievous virus hackers are determined to cause havoc.
Apparently, an email that I blocked and deleted still managed to invade my computer. I think via Outlook preview. Bitdefender identified the problem, cleaned and repaired what it could, but a few viruses it could not clean. When BitDefender quarantined my Outlook PST file, (which is where all email, calendar, contact info are stored) I knew I was in trouble. I immediately took my desktop to Chicago Computer Land where Stefan, Aldi and Gabriel meticulously cleaned and recovered my information. Even my back up files were affected. It took a few days, (5/30-6/2/2014) but I'm happy to report my computer is home; I'm up and running and my Outlook and other software programs are running as they should.
These guys are great and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

My son dropped our iPad 3 on the floor and dented the corner and shattered the glass. I took the iPad into Chicago ComputerLand first thing on a Sunday and it was repaired within 2 hours. The quality of the repair was excellent . I would definitely recommend.

It went very well! Chicago ComputerLand was very professional and responsive. They emailed me a copy of my receipt, and they called me as soon as my computer was ready to be picked up. The repair took a lot less time than anticipated and it was very affordable, much more affordable than if I had brought my computer into the Apple store to get repaired. I would definitely recommend them!

I would recommend them to friends in a heartbeat. I brought in the items late Saturday afternoon, and since they had several jobs ahead of mine, the guy said he'd call Monday to let me know what the problems were, and give me an estimate. True to his word, I got a call early Monday afternoon, and as soon as I gave them the green light to proceed with repairs, within an hr or two, the newly repaired laptop (with new screen) was ready for pick up.

My laptop cooling fan was not working and kept shutting down after 15 seconds I called Chicago Computer Land and was told the price would be around $90 to $125.00 to replace the fan. I dropped off the laptop Monday afternoon. I unfortunately gave them a wrong contact number so they were not able to contact me right away. They did send me an email and the laptop was ready that same evening. I picked up the laptop this morning and it's working great. The tech at Computer Land advised me that it did not need a fan just a good cleaning and they only charged me $72.00 with an Angie's list 20% discount. I appreciate their honestly. I know nothing about computers so they could have charged me $125.00 and I would not have know the difference. The tech also gave me some good advice regarding a wireless printer. I will continue to use Chicago Computer Land in the future and tell my family about their great service.

Aldi was very pleasant. My laptop keyboard stopped working and I desperately needed it fixed, so I called at 4pm on a Saturday. He originally quoted the completion date as the next Monday, but after I left, he called about 20 minutes later and said they actually had the parts in stock and my computer was ready for pickup! I couldn't have been any happier, as I had an important project that needed to be completed that weekend. He quoted $80 and their prices are stated on the wall, so it was $40 for the parts/labor and an additionall $40 for the rush service (which is indicated on the fee schedule). But the convenience provided by Aldi, by me not having to spend hours in the library, was priceless! I would definitely recommend his services and go to him again, if necessary.

I can't say enough good things about Aldi and Stephan. My Dell Inspiron laptop screen had gone black and before that, I'd been having blue screen crashes I kept trying to ignore. I was convinced the laptop was toast, and thought I was going to have to buy a new computer. I asked that if nothing else, I just wanted my files saved.
I felt vulnerable going into a computer repair shop when I had no idea if I was being fleeced or not, but Stephan, who helped me when I brought the computer in, was professional and kind. I left there feeling hopeful. They offered a $50 evaluation, and the $50 would be applied against the cost any service purchased. They said they would call that day to let me know their assessment. I braced myself for the worst news.
I got a call later that day with an estimate of $225 to remove viruses from the laptop and replace the screen with a brand new one. The service came with a guarantee, and I was told that the computer would be ready the next day. And it was! It's been two and a half months and the thing is running better than it has in years. The screen is new and bright and wonderful. No more blue screen crashes. It turns out that, despite my subscription anti-virus software, several viruses had invaded my laptop, plus the screen was just plain burned out after more than a decade of use.
The computer looks and acts new, and I've had no trouble with it. I wish I'd taken it in sooner, when it first started crashing, but I was so worried about a huge bill. I use this laptop every day, for both personal and professional use, and it's humming along beautifully.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back to these guys; they're the best!

Main thing- my computer works! It was fast and easy.

I dropped my Ipad 3 and shattered the glass.I had a 6 hour drive home with the kids. Chicago Computer land saved my butt. Everywhere I called said the turnaround was 2 to 3 days. It was fixed within a 2 hour period. I cannot attest to the quality of the glass yet, but I will review again in 6 months. I was very happy with the work, and the drive home was peaceful. I would recommend and will use Chicago Computer Land again.

I brought my computer to Chicago Computerland and Aldi. He gave me a time estimate as to when they would be able to look at my laptop and get back to me with their diagnosis. He called me before the estimated time was up and let me know what was wrong. I gave my approval for him to do the work and it was also done on time. He was not able to recover any data from my old hard drive during that time but I left it with him to see if a little more time and work on it would result in some saved data. No one wants to have computer problems, but I know that if I ever have any in the future that I can bring them to Chicago Computerland to get them looked at. My laptop runs great now and my fingers are crossed that some data could be recovered from my old hard drive.

He fixed it on the spot. As a referring customer, Mr. Stefan didn't charge me. I was so happy to have my computer fixed and at no charge. I would highly recommend the store.
