The gentleman was able to fix the stove in minutes for a fraction of the cost we would have to pay for a new stove. The washing machine was not reparable.

A repairman came and replaced the control board at $369 (part+labor-angie's list discount) and the refrigerator stopped working in 6 months. I tried to contact them for the warranty service over the last 5 days but never picked up the call and never called back.

Outrageously over priced! Had a laundry washer assembly switch replaced which costs $40 online at MAX and they charged $200 for the parts plus $100 for labor. Don't be fooled by the low diagnosis fee. Look else where as these guys are very expensive and a rip off.

Manny came to work on the washer side on a 15+ year old combo stacked washer/dryer.  After performing the initial repair he identified additional problems due to burned out components that are no longer easily replaced.  He sent us the information for the newer replacement components and additional parts that are not compatible with the newer necessary replacement parts.  He recommended contacting the manufacturer and rather than performing ongoing repairs, he took a loss for the day.  He advised us how to proceeded with dealing with the manufacturer, if we chose to try and salvage the machine, and advised on the model to purchase if we chose to just replacing the old unit with a new machine that would also last.

Came out at the appointed time removed the old motor checked that electric was working.   took the old motor with them would call if they could fine a replacement motor with the price.   It was 299.00 to bring in a new motor and install it which they did.  I am  very happy with this company and highly recommend them for any of your small appliance needs.  Ann from Chicago

It seemed he had no idea what he was doing. He overcharged for his
services and did not give credit for a coupon that is advertised on
their website. Very unprofessional. Would never recommend or use again. They are not professional.

I must that I was very upset when I called in to have to fix the freezer on my whirlpool Fridge that's not even 10yrs old. However I called Chicago Appliance Repair where the young lady that answered was very upbeat and most understanding. I were at work when I placed the called and I were very desperate to have my freezer fixed since I had a freezer full of food. She immediately advised she could get someone out today between 4-6pm. I only had one request that the tech come out close to 5 since it takes me 1hr to get home. She advised she would ask for 5pm or later. Well punctuality was perfect David called to advise he was downstairs at 548pm and immediately came upstairs and began working. He immediately assessed the problem and explained and showed me the part that needed replacing. I wasn't ready to hear the price but never the less I had to have the freezer fixed. David was very placed professional and informative...All I can say "Is Thank you for saving my Food"

David was very professional and knowledgeable. He took apart our Viking dishwasher with ease to assess the problem.

Great professionalism, worked well and didn't mind answering questions and gave good advise regarding the water dispenser on the frig door. Will never use it again. They are only as good as the filter (my refrigerator was made prior to filtered water in refrigerators.

Originally, I called Chicago Appliance Repair to get my oven fixed. After giving the dispatcher my info, Mario called me back soon thereafter and we made plans for him to come later in the week. Then, 2 days before the scheduled visit, my refrigerator stopped working. Panicked, I called Mario directly and asked if he could possibly come earlier. He was very gracious and offered to come very early the next morning (before his first scheduled stop) to look at the problem.
When he arrived, he measured the temperature in the fridge and freezer and said it didn't look good. He had seen the same problem the week before, and it was because the compressor was broken. He explained that the compressor is the most expensive part of a refrigerator, and most people with a broken compressor will just buy a brand new fridge -which I definitely was not happy to hear.
But luckily, Mario said there was a chance that it had to do with the electrical equipment supporting the compressor - I believe it was a relay? that short circuited. This was much easier/cheaper to replace, which he did. He said that the compressor was really overheated so he was still concerned about it. He called and texted me later that week to double-check that everything was still running fine. And a month later, it still is! I really appreciate the attention Mario paid to the problem, and the trouble he went through to push my appointment earlier just so I could have peace of mind.
Oh, and he also fixed the oven, no problem.
All in all, a very satisfying experience. I will definitely be calling Mario in the future if I have any appliance trouble!

I had a 10 year old Triton GE dish washing machine that was not draining the water. I called these guys. Mario responded with in the hour, came out within 2 and immediately identified the problem (a bad piston for pumping out the water + some broken class blocking the drain). 30 minutes later he was gone and I had a working dishwasher again. This is about as painless as major appliance repair gets.

It went very well. the repairman came out the day I called. He was prompt, courteous. He immediately knew what was wrong and was able to fix it within 15 minutes. I would definitely use them again.

It is working well now.
