Joseph was right on time when he was scheduled to come out and go over the carpet samples. We had previously looked at Lowe's and other places to get an idea of what we wanted as far as color but were not sure about brand and quality. I had explained this to him and he stopped at Lowe's to find the exact carpet we liked there so he would be able to show us something similar. This saved quite a bit of time and made the meeting very efficient. He brought the samples that best matched this color and answered our questions on quality, durability and cats (we have 3). In the end the recommendation was for the Mohawk Smartstrand. A family friend in the business also indicated that this was a good choice. Joseph noted that they only offered two pad types which was refreshing rather than having to choose and pay for something that might not be any better. I received the quote the next day and was pleasantly surprised by the price. This compared favorable to the carpet price at Lowe's and the family friend also noted that this was a good deal. The order was placed and I also paid an extra $500 to have a team come out and inspect the sub-floor for any repairs that could be made to reduce creaking and squeaking before the new carpet was installed. I will note, make sure to list every item that should be addressed with this team as the installers are not able to complete this task. Provided substantial work is not required the $500 will cover the services. The installation was scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. There was a bit of confusion around when they would be there as by 10 O'clock they had not arrived and I had not received a call. After calling Joe he talked to the warehouse and said they were on their way. They usually call the night before but I did not receive this call. When the team arrived they asked me to make sure the color was correct before they began. We then went around the house to the locations where the carpet would be placed to look at what items would need to be moved. There were some delicate pieces the interior doors and were new and the walls just painted. The team did a fantastic job making sure nothing was damaged and I was extremely impressed. They finished the job in one day with 3 people. This was a very good experience.
