Told me that she does not believe in contracts. Presented an "account overview" that was first presented at about $10,000 for materials and her services, then gradually increasing over time to $13,000. The lien waiver she provided at the end listed only herself, and none of the suppliers! I already had proof that I paid her, but she provided no proof that she had paid the vendors.

"Every invoice is a contract. Items selected are noted with exact data, price defined, and client approval signature is required before anything is ordered. The lien waiver that was prepared professionally was a legally binding document protecting the client. All vendor accounts have to remain in good standing in order to remain in business; our corporation has stood strong with our vendors for over 12 years. Clients ultimately define the budget. The initial budget was for CSS suggested products. In this particular case CSS suggested granite counter tops; client insisted on “man-made” Quartz which is considerably higher. If the client increases the budget it is client’s responsibility. CSS’s responsibility is to deliver what the client wants and approves."

The job took several weeks for all the different aspects to be finished. Helen, is very knowledgeable; she was thorough and took her time. She was also responsive when we had questions or concerns.We were very satisfied with the new kitchen.

Things went very well. For our first meeting, Helen came to our home to measure the existing kitchen and bath. She asked a lot of questions, and we discussed what we were looking for. We met with her several times to go over designs. We also met (and signed) with the contractor she recommended. He also had some good ideas; and together, we all came up with an ideal design. The cabinet order was placed in September. We met a couple more times to order everything else. Installation began at the end of October and was completed mid-December. Helen stayed involved throughout and was willing to act as a go-between with the contractor. Overall, we had a very positive experience and love our new kitchen and bath.

Helen did a great job. She provided us with a few different plans, and let us choose what we wanted based upon our budget. She also got us in touch with a fantastic contractor to implement the plans (Galaco Carpentry).
