Not well.

Overall, I am pleased with the work done.  They subcontracted the iron work to a quality provider, whose work I was very happy with.  Their carpenter, Brian, does fantastic work.  Our patio and gates look fantastic.  My only issue was with the polyurethane finish they applied to the ipe.  That wood does not take these coatings well.  After two rain storms, it had all washed off.  I have subsequently applied a penetrating oil sealer that works much better.  Given they didn't have much experience with this material, I don't really hold it against them.  I already have another project in mind for them that's four times the scale of the previous project because I think their product is outstanding.

There is a one man contact which is Ibrahim Pinto and he is fantastic. Getting revised estimates took few days more than what I had expected. They are good in renovation. They are very reliable and friendly. They are great to work with. They are very considerate of your needs and efforts. They have very presentable and professional attitude. They have very professional working environment. They understand the minds in budget and they work around if it’s possible. If they are making mistakes on the job, they are willing to take responsibilities. If by mistake they break the sink in the toilet, they replace that with their own money. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Paul Pingle, the president of the company, came out and wrote up a thorough estimate for several construction projects around our 9 unit town home complex. I subsequently requested that he present his proposal for the project to all the unit owners at our quarterly association meeting. Paul discussed every detail of the project and answered all the owners' questions about every part of the process. Paul's carpenter, Brian, came out and rebuilt our entire 2000sqft deck like a master. Then, he custom built five new wood gates from Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) for the front of the property. Paul's metal work crew also came out and did a masterful job rebuiding two large staircases that were rotting through, repairing four large gates and several railings that were severely deteriorated. Paul definitely helped us to keep costs under control where appropriate, but also gave us several suggestions about where not to skimp too much that were much appreciated. Overall, I would rate C.B. Contractors with an A+. I could not be more pleased with their work and will highly recommend them as a reputable contractor to all of my friends and family.
