Protection for my wife's new Christian Loubitin shoes. They are pricey, take a week or two, but the quality is top notch.

Dropped them off and was told that it would be a two week wait. Surprised at first but was told that they were going to be washed thoroughly and needed that time to dry before other things were done. I was impressed by this as it told me they were not adverse to a patient approach. The results paid off and I was happy. Even though I have newer boots these are a favorite pair. I use them for winter walks and short hikes now. The person to person service is good/professional but a little lacking in warmth which I consider the apex of service. That's just me though.

My 5+ year old UGG boots sprung a leak on one side and I was considering throwing them away, but had the Angieslist deal and decided to see how much they would charge to repair and clean my UGGs. They are pricey, but they did a good job repairing and cleaning the boots, so much so that I should be able to get another few years out of them, easy! I even returned to get another pair of UGG boots cleaned because they did such a good job!

I have been a long time customer at Mike’s and have purchased about 6 shoes because of the great fit, choice of styles, leather, and, most importantly, customer service. He tells you when it’s not worth the money to repair a shoe. He takes time out for each customer who needs his expertise/advice. I’ve seen him interact with some demanding customers and admire his patience with them. His staff is friendly and Mike goes out of his way to please the customer.

I have a pair of 2.5and quot; heel mules that I just about lived in until the shank on the right shoe broke. I took them to a place in the neighborhood that I've used for smaller repairs, and though they claim to have repaired them, within a few weeks it was obvious the shank was still not right.
Brooks staff are friendly and very courteous. When dropping the shoes off, they checked both and advised me that the left shank would need repair also. The repaired shoes were delivered to me within 2 weeks, and I couldn't be happier with how I was treated as a customer, or the outcome of the repair. These shoes look and feel like almost new!

They are awesome. I think they are one of the best in the country. They are located in downtown Chicago, but they have curbside service. More expensive than your average repair service but definitely worth the cost.

They are very well known and do excellent work.

He does sell shoes. He helped have my shoes custom made, and their price was very comparable with department stores. I get a custom fit for me, so the shoe feels really good. If I do need anything to be repaired, he is very honest with you about whether or not to fix or repair an item, I feel like I can trust him. He will take his time and works with me to make sure that the shoe feels good, and will give you a sample pair of shoes to make sure everything is fitting well. All repairs have always been on time. I also think that his prices are very reasonable.

The man that works there really knows leathers. I have never been disappointed with them. My shoes are made in London, but he was able to recognize the shoemaker.

This is probably the hundredth time I have used Brooks. They do incredible work. My shoes come back looking great, time and time again. Additionally, by putting the protective half soles on the shoes, I get a lot more wear out of them. This service is the best I have ever used. If you spend money on expensive shoes, you wouldn't want anyone else to touch them. In fact, when I lived out of state, I used to ship my shoes to Mike to fix. This is the kind of place where you don't have to explain what you want done. Mike sees what needs to be done and even points out other things you may not have noticed.

They fixed it well but the price was too high given the work involved. I questioned the price but you never get very far at Brooks by questioning their prices. Another aspect that is troubling: they always have you pay the full price upfront. If you have a problem with the work, I guess that gives you no bargaining power.

I thought the shoes were ruined, and that no service could make them look as good as new, but Brooks did. Absolutely no problems, they were ready when expected (about 10 days later) and looked fantastic.

THE WORK DONE BY THIS COMPANY WAS EXCELLENT. I WAS TRULY AMAZED AT THE WORK DONE TO THE TWO PAIRS OF FERRAGAMO SHOES. I HAD BLOWN OUT THE SOLE IN EACH PAIR AND THEY DID AN EXQUISITE JOB OF REPAIRING THEM. THE ALLEN EDMONDS SHOES WERE DONE WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF CARE AND EXPERTISE. I HAVE USED ALLEN EDMONDS' FACTORY SERVICE WHERE YOU SEND IN A PAIR OF SHOES TO BE RECRAFTED AND THE WORK DONE BY BROOKS SHOE SERVICE IS JUST A NOTCH UNDER THAT DONE BY THE FACTORY. THAT IS A HIGH COMPLIMENT INDEED.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. THEIR CONSISTENT RUDENESS AND HAUGHTY ATTITUDE IS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU SICK. FOR ONE, THEY DID NOT DO THE SUEDE JOB THE WAY I ASKED AND WERE LESS THAN APOLOGETIC. AS A FORMER REGULAR CUSTOMER, I EVENTUALLY TIRED OF THEIR ATTITUDE THAT THE CUSTOMER DOESN''T MATTER, AND WILL NEVER GO BACK.

THEY ALSO REPAIR PURSES AND BRIEFCASES. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 15 YEARS. SEVERAL WELL-KNOWN AND REPUTABLE DEPARTMENT STORES USE BROOKS FOR REPAIRS OR DYEING OF THEIR SHOES, AND REFER CUSTOMERS THERE.
