BOB'S PROFESSIONAL PAINTING

Bob and his assistant arrived at my house at 8am and went right to work.  They was done about 11am.  Bob does a professional and efficient job.  He caulked any gaps in the door frames and between the baseboards and quarter round, then gives them a fresh coat of paint.  He also patches and cracks and nail holes.

Before he left, we agreed that he would be painting my living room/dining room in the near future.

Bob and his assistant arrived on time at 8am and got right to work.  My husband and I had already removed most of the furniture out of the room.  They finished in a few hours and the room looks great.

We didn't spend anything on the estimate. The experience was great and he was helpful. He offered a lot of free advice.

Despite one negative review I was recommended to Bob by a close friend who is very meticulous and picky. I got quotes from other painters and though he was not the cheapest, I trusted my friend's recommendation. Bob showed up on time/early for both the quote and work. Had good idea for details. Noticed cracks and items to be patched that other painter did not notice. He got done in one day and did a good job.

BOB WAS RESPONSIVE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD, BUT HIS PERSONALITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND THE QUALITY OF THE PAINTING WERE TERRIBLE. I WAS DISPLEASED TO FIND SEVERAL WALL AREAS MISSED: IN CORNERS, ALONG SEAMS, ALONG BASEBOARDS AND DOOR TRIM. OBVIOUS MISSES I THINK WOULD BE CAUGHT BY A "PROFESSIONAL." WHEN I POINTED THEM OUT, HE AGREED TO FIX THEM. BUT WORSE WAS THE JOB HE DID ON OUR BRAND-NEW GOLD CARPET! I FOUND LITERALLY 50+ PAINT DRIPS ON THE STAIRWAYS, RANGING FROM THE SIZE OF A PIN'S HEAD TO THE SIZE OF A HALF-DOLLAR. I EXPRESSED MY DISAPPOINTMENT TO BOB AND REQUESTED HE COME BACK TO CLEAN IT UP. HE DID, HOWEVER, HE IGNORED MANY OF THE SMALLER SPOTS I MARKED, AND SPENT LITTLE TIME ON THOSE HE BLOTTED WITH PAINT REMOVER. WHEN I CONFRONTED BOB ABOUT THE REMAINING SPOTS, HE RAISED HIS VOICE, INSISTING THEY WEREN'T PAINT, BUT SOMETHING ELSE WE MUST'VE TRACKED IN ON OUR SHOES. IN THE END I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE ALL OF THE SPOTS USING THE SAME REMOVER BOB USED, WHICH PROVES IT WAS PAINT ALL ALONG.
