BEVERLY IRONWORKS & FENCE

Rep came out to measure, I signed a contract, and they asked me for deposit of $500.00. The guy said if I paid cash, then they could pay their men on Saturday instead of waiting for check to clear and another discount will take place. He marked that I paid cash on the receipt. The contract on the back stated it needed to be approved by the office and if not approved, any monies paid will be returned. He said I will have the fence installed in about 2 weeks. They will call with a date. A week and a half went by without a call so I called them. They had no record of my contract. The owner came out to the house to see my yard and advise that the price i was quoted was too low and he could not install for that price. He also alerted me to the fact that that man that came out scammed 6 other people out of their money also. I showed him the contract where it said I paid $500 cash and I did not want to have them install at a higher price so I wanted my money back. He would not give it to me. I even took them to small claims court and attended approx. 8 different times of which no representative from this company ever came. Finally I won the case and a judgement is against him, but the lawyer said I will only get my money if he ever tries to sell the company.

Tried to get an estimate for a fence. The owner came out, but then did not email the estimate. I contacted him after 2 weeks, he said sorry, and gave a verbal estimate over the phone for one fence style. I then asked for the additional estimate for the other style of fence we requested. I never heard back. This company does a ton of work in my area, and those fences look great! They must be working a ton, and did not need the work :)

Set up an appointment for an estimate at new house (which I told them was far from where I was still living). I arranged my schedule to arrive promptly at 1pm. Nobody showed up. I called many times but no answer. At about 3 I got a call saying that they were running late. By that point I had to leave. I won't call them again. If someone can't value my time with a simple phone call BEFORE OR AT LEAST JUST AFTER THE MEETING TIME, then what kind of work are they going to do? I don't want to find out.

They did a great job. They finished the job in one day.

Professional. They resolved all my issues. Foreman was on hand and did a great job. They cleaned up all the debris. They did not haul away the dirt, but that was OK. Fence looks great.

I was having an event at my house and wanted a wrought iron gate for the front and a new gate for the dog kennel. The representative came out and quoted us a price, we set up the installation date and we sealed the deal. Then the company never showed to set the posts. After a phone call from my husband, they came out set the posts, one of them wrong. Then the owner went on vacation and the gate was not fabricated and installed until three days AFTER the event. Between the manager, Chris, and the owner, and repeated phone calls and requests to talk to the owner (who refused to call us) we spent a month trying to resolve this issue. I finally just walked into the business, gave them a check for the balance and requested, (yet again) that the owner should call me. They cashed the check, but I never received a phone call. I told the receptionist that I was a member of Angie's List, but they didn't even care. Save yourself the time and effort and spend your money elsewhere.

WENT TO BUSINESS IN PERSON & SPOKE DIRECTLY TO AN EMPLOYEE OF BEVERLY IRONWORKS & FENCE CO. GAVE HIM MY HOME ADDRESS/PHONE # AND WHAT I WANTED DONE. AFTER 3 DAYS OF NOT HEARING BACK FROM THEM, I CALLED THEIR OFFICE & LEFT A MESSAGE ON THEIR TELEPHONE ANSWERING MACHINE WHICH I DID AGAIN 2 ADDITIONAL TIMES WITH-OUT GETTING ANY CALLS BACK OR ANYONE FROM BEVERLY IRON COMING OUT TO EVEN SPEAK TO ME!!
