FANTASTIC! I came in the door and got a warm and friendly welcome. No doomsday "You're going to need a new one" or "This thing is old, old old". He suggested maybe just the hose was blocked and offered several options: a tune-up and a grand tune-up. They offered me a loaner (for free) and thought they could keep my old vac going and going and going. IT FELT LIKE A FRIEND. So nice. So warm, so personal. AND A RELIEF after the last not-nice vac store I'd been too. WORTH THE DRIVE FROM EVANSTON!!!!

The provider was honest and up front.  He told me he may or may not have to replace an important part and would try to save money if possible.  I am very pleased with the service.

We purchased our sweeper from this store in 2007 and have had no problem with the sweeper since.  Last nite the sweeper stopped working.  After trouble shooting we were convienced the sweeper was just old and kaput.  Since we are in the middle of a three bathroom rehab, not having a sweeper was unrealistic as the construction mess spreads throughout the house.  
Went to the Best Vacuum store this morning fully expecting to buy a new sweeper but brought the old one along as they are also a service center. Mike and Mark diagnosed the problem.  Lent me a vacuum to use for longer than the required service time so that my sweeper doesn't need service after construction finishes. I offered to rent the sweeper and pay for cleaning of the loaner, they emphatically refused.
My experience with Best Vacuum is exactly why I always try to purchase locally with a small business. 

The repair man took my Kirby and said he would call me back in a few days with an estimate. He was a little late in calling so I called him back. He got right on it.. gave me an estimate... said he had the parts and I could pick it up in a day. So I did, and the vacuum was fixed and is still working well. The owner/repair man also gave me some great advice on purchasing a newer better vacuum in the future. The cost was reasonable and I was satisfied.

The team was great.  They didn't laugh at my 25 year old vacuum cleaner - and they didn't try to sell me a newer model.  Both individuals were great and the job was completed on time and budget.

I went to Best Vacuum in the hope that they would re-condition my aging Electolux canister vacuum.  When I got there, I was told that they were not able or willing to recondition the vacuum but would sell me a new vacuum hose which would improve the performance of the vacuum.  I couldn't believe how expensive the new vacuum hose was, but it was less than buying a new vacuum and did improve the suction of the vacuum noticeably.

They are very timely and provide good communication. They are very professional and they provide quality work. They are very honest with the service and they will not do any unneeded work. They update their customers along the way for the service. I am currently using them at this time.

Overall we've had a good experience them. We do like our vacuum. But, when we've serviced our vacuum there, it has taken longer than we would have liked.

I have a Miehle vacuum and did not put the bag in correctly.  MY MISTAKE.  I noticed dust inside and the vacuum wasn't picking up.  They were extremely nice and sent the vacuum back to the factory, cleaning it inside and out and putting in a new filter ($50 of the charge) as well as fixing the motor in the motorized hose piece. It really works like new - and better than it had the last time I brought it in elsewhere.

These guys are great!  They know their machines and have given me good advice over the years.

After dropping a plant on the ground and attempting to vacuum up the dirt, our vacuum became clogged.  After attempting to fix the clog ourselves, we were unable to do so and since the unit is quite a few years old we thought it was worth looking into getting serviced.  To that end, we called Best Vacuum Inc. based on the reviews from Angie's List, and the gentleman on the phone suggested we bring our vacuum in even though the technicians are only in Monday through Friday. Once we brought our vacuum in, the gentleman immediately took it to the back and began working on it himself.  After 5 minutes he reemerged having unclogged the unit and - recognizing the age and poor status of our current belt - replacing the belt.  He didn't charge us for the labor and provided a demonstration for the now-working vacuum.  He recognized the age of the vacuum and suggested we monitor the unit as it probably will only hold up for another year; he then gave us a coupon to trade our old vacuum in, but we never felt he was trying to sell us something. Overall our experience was fantastic and we would be happy to recommend them for their service.

I was completely confused about the differences between vacuums. Best Vacuums not only educated me about the features of the products but really helped me evaluate how the VALUE of each option. In addition, if the salesperson didn't feel he could speak as an expert on a particular brand, he had the owner come out and address the topic. What I liked was that the owner was very honest about the units and did not simply steer me to the most expensive ones. Of course in the end the benefits outweighed the cost and I did buy the Miele but I felt that he was not partial to either choice...it was truly what was best for his customer's need. The only downside is that my husband and I went in on two separate occasions and talked to two different people and the pricing was presented in different ways (original price with a discount vs. bottom line and we were quoted two separate pricing for our trade in) after some confusing math we realized it ultimately came to the same final number. I just wanted bottom line and this made me feel like perhaps there was a chance I could overpay vs. another customer. I feel comfortable that this was not the case after looking at internet offers, and calling other stores.

No broken parts, just clogged. Took 4 days or so, they repaired and cleaned it perfectly, all is well.

My Miele vacuum stopped working completely. I took it over and dropped it off. They called a few days later and talked to my handy man who said move forward. I thought the estimate of 160 bucks was high (in retrospect it was not). A few days later, I got back what looked like a brand new vacuum cleaner. They replaced the broken power supply, overhauled everything, replaced rug beater, and even cleaned and buffed the canister. This machine is 10 years old and has been used nearly everday. It really makes sense to buy a quality machine and pay for quality service when it makes things last this long. My expectations were thoroughly exceeded. I am really surprised that a vacuum repair could make me this happy!

They told me how long it would be and how much to expect to pay. They called a day early and I paid just for labor.

They are good. They are responsive and answer our qusstions. Their prices are reasonable.

They had reasonable prices. They are helpful and professional guys. They are experts and really know what they are doing. They just get the job done.

I was very impressed. I would compare the way they worked to surgery. They were extra careful with everything. They put drop clothes down. They looked at the areas where the appliances were going to go and took the time to think and plan exactly how to get them in there properly. I think they did an exceptional job!
