I explained that I was restoring the house and wanted to keep as much of the original components as possible with regards to the lock, and that I didn't have a key to the front door. He examined the lock, explained to me in "layman's" terms what he could do to accommodate my request and promptly set to work doing it.
He also rekeyed the back door so that I could use 1 key for both the front and back doors. His work was neat and efficient. Considering the cold weather, he also did his best not to allow any more cold air into the house than was necessary and was careful not to leave a mess.
I also appreciated that he itemized the costs for the deal. I would be happy to recommend Matthew to anyone who may need a locksmith's services.
