After looking at several mail order services for retinning copper pots, I found an article in Cook magazine where a Chicago area person took their pots to Archer. The mail order is very expensive for tinning, polishing and postage. Local silversmiths were also very expensive and for some reason require polishing for an extra cost. I didn't want it polished. The wait on mail order is also very long, up to 6 weeks! So I emailed Archer. Sean responded right way with hours and availability. We dropped the pot off and it was ready in a week and the cost was half the price of the lowest mail order and even less than half the price of local silversmiths. Looks like new! As to the professionalism. Archer is a wholesale manufacturer on the south side so you can't expect a fancy public receiving area. You just have to walk into the plant and find Sean. But he is very quick to respond to emails and very nice to deal with in person. And the service is excellent.
