Description of Work: Neck pain. I can express that I believe that ARC physical therapy is simply the best. Amy and the strain-counterstrain technique achieves success, whereas other PT techniques are much slower, or don't help. Meg, the office manager is simply superb. The facilities are clean, modern, and comfortable. I highly recommend this facility for any, and all physical therapy needs.

First, the office is incredibly wonderful. Meg, the local office manager, is very friendly, very helpful, and makes you feel at ease so that you want to keep coming back whether it is your first time or your twenty-first time. Meg arranges your appointments for you. The office is within a health club which is very clean, and the bathrooms are immaculate. I believe that the office is still having free evaluations for potential patients that would have a physical problem requiring physical therapy. One can call for an appt. This is great because you can get an idea of the analysis of your problem (not medical, but from a physical therapy point of view). After that, you would need a prescription from your doctor stating your problem and that physical therapy is required, and for how many times per week, and total number of treatments. My physical therapy visits with Amy went extremely well. She is a master at the technique of strain-counterstrain. She remains with you the entire time of your treatment, and it is extremely individualized and personal care. Except for another ARC location, I don't believe that you can find this type of individualized, personal, compassionate, hands-on, and very effective treatment anywhere. My understanding is that this type of physical therapy can be done on any other part of the body that normal physical therapy can be done- such as shoulder, arm, ribs, hand, foot, leg, thigh, knee, and etc. I have had neck and back problems for years, and I believe that physical therapy by Amy at ARC OHare (near Park Ridge) is A+++++!!! I can't imagine having pain and not coming to Amy for physical therapy. Thank You, Amy and Meg for all you have done for me. You are the best!!!
Description of Work: I went for physical therapy because of neck pain, shoulder pain, and pain going down both arms from several herniated/degenerative discs. The physical therapist was Amy. She has had a lot of experience, and the clinic also utilizes a technique called strain-counterstrain. The physical therapist is absolutely wonderful. Each session is roughly 45 minutes. This trained physical therapist is with you the entire time. You are not delegated to someone else, and the majority of the time is "hands-on work". The treatment is incredibly effective, and I think, the results are much quicker than normal physical therapy.
