I wish I had seen these other reviews before hiring these scam artists. Got scammed by the rude owner/operator, Paul. His crew damaged my home and the item they tried to move, Paul has failed to provide proof of license or insurance, and now Paul has ghosted me. I arranged to have a large fridge relocated within my home. Paul gladly took the job and expressed no concerns about the project. The quote was high but seemed reasonable for a skilled, careful crew. The three guys that showed up were amateurs and stank of weed. I should have canceled right there. These clowns struggled with the move and ended up damaging the fridge in multiple places and left deep scrapes in my wood floors. The cherry on top is that Paul has the gall to tell me the damage was already there, that it was an impossible job (but he gladly took it anyway), and that his crew took pictures to document it beforehand. I'm still waiting on seeing these mythical pictures or any offer of compensation.

Do not hire! Personal background: I just left the US Navy after 10 years as a Pilot. I have never left a review for any company until this. I negotiated with Paul, the owner, over the phone to move a 297lb safe from my garage to the basement. I sent him two videos and pictures of the job. We agreed on $700 and a date and time. When they didn't show up, I called and he apologized, & scheduled me for later in the day, and tried to "confirm" that our agreed upon price was $950. The movers arrived and assured me it would be an easy job. After an hour, they had wedged the safe on the landing, unable to get it downstairs. They damaged the walls, ripped the carpet, and broke pieces of wood off the stairs. I called Paul to tell him what happened and that I would need to file a claim with his insurance, he told me "listen bro, it's your f#%*ing fault this safe doesn't fit" and that if I wanted any money "he'd see me in court." I've never been treated worse as a customer. 100% do not hire.

3 guys showed up to go the job. They were on time, very professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future.

It didn't! Needless to say, we did not use this company. The owner kept raising the price of the job, and kept procrastinating about the move. These guys are NOT reliable.

they did a very good job. This was a big heavy safe up a significant number of basement stairs. Nothing easy about this job. Paul was responsive via email and phone calls, I sent him pictures of the safe and the stairs, he then provided me a quote and certificates of insurance. We then set up a date for the move. Our regular moving company would not move anything this heavy. The appointment and cost was established. On moving day they were a little delayed because the truck had a flat tire and it was bad weather with heavy rains. They only sent 2 guys and they said that 3 or more would just get in the way. They seemed to know what they were doing and how to handle the job but I could tell it was difficult. The truck did not have their name on it, nor a lift. The 2 guys did a good job, both moving from basement and then in elevator into condo room, moved it as requested to the exact spot. I gave them a check and it was posted the next day. There are limited number of companies that provide this service in the Chicago area and overall I was pleased with the service and the contact Paul provided. The guys were courteous and responsive. They said this is what they did all day long. I thank them for providing this service for us, with no problems in a difficult move. We had the safe moved out of the house a few days prior to the big house move, that helped a lot.

These guys were great. They knew exactly what they were doing. They removed the door carefully while protecting the paint of the safe. They padded and protected the safe, and then rolled it end over end over the first stairs. For the tight stairwell, they put it on its side and slid it down under control. The whole thing was reassembled in the basement. These guys made it look easy -- they understood how to finesse the safe around tight turns. It was impressive.

I called the company after finding them on Craigslist, Paul answered the phone. I think he's the owner/manager. He said he could do the move today for $400. That was a discounted move (normally from $500-600) because he wasn't having to transport it on a truck.
Since my previous hot tub mover disconnected his phone (of which he charged me $150 for a similar move in the fall), my choices were limited.
I asked why it had to be today (5 hours from our initial phone call), as we needed time to clear the pad of snow and ice. Paul said today because it wasn't snowing and he had a crew in the area.
We agreed on a 5p move. At 4:45p, he texted that the crew was running late. I asked for an ETA, he texted back and quot;6:30 or earlier, based on traffic.and quot; They arrived at 6:45p. (!)
Using plywood sheets from my home construction site, after I'd dug a 10-foot-wide path through the snow, they moved the tub carefully, pushing it onto the new pad and re-positioning it.
I wasn't happy with the price (more than double our previous mover) or the tardiness or the lack of apology / discount because of that, but I didn't have a choice.
Going forward, I would probably use someone else.
