A HUGE THANK YOU! on behalf of our Company FROSCH to Victor Rothstein and all the team of movers from ANDERSON BROTHERS Moving and Storage.  Their prompt response, nice attitude and professionalism under some "last minute circumstances and big challenges in the downtown Chicago area" was simply amazing.
Anyone who wants a job well done should give them a call.
Thank you
C. Espinoza

They moved three of us from one place to two different places. They were quick and professional. They were a good price. They were on time.

This is a difficult review to write as the work done has always been SUPERB.
The issue has been the charges
Mover crews were clearly well trained, experienced, strong men each time. No newbies
The movers have consistently been pleasant, helpful with good suggestions which protected our furnishings
Hubby and I never noticed any slacking off. The crews worked consistently other than for a brief lunch , which we knew they would do
Each time the crews finished as anticipated and estimated and knocked off some of the cost.
When we moved last year we were given some very high end powder coated steel bookcases /shelving - not needed by a business whose office Anderson Bros had just moved-which did save us from purchasing storage for our kitchen.
However, despite this, with 20 -20 hind sight, Anderson Brothers charges seem excessive.
Until now we never had gotten other estimates as we very much liked Anderson Brothers work.
Last June, when we moved across the hall from one apartment to another , with many of our boxes already moved to the new apartment (schlepped by myself, hubby and friends) I was taken aback that it took most of 6-7 hours and cost so much but i presumed prices had gone up since we had last moved some years ago.
Unexpectedly, we are moving again now (April 2013) to an apartment 3 blocks away. The Anderson brother estimator told us the move would take two days and two trucks at a cost of $3000! Only moving, no packing services, no appliance install!
This seemed outrageous and this time I sought out a few more estimates all of which came in at half what Anderson Bros estimated.
We have chosen another company , one which has garnered many Angie List raves and rewards, Estimator came , as serious and capable seeming as the fellow from Anderson Bros, and estimated a move in one day at half the cost.. I will write a review after the move
But suffice. Anderson Brothers has been A++ in quality of service but D- or worse in cost.

Don't waste your time! The guy show provided the estimate was in and out of my place in about five minutes and hardly asked any questions. He didn't provide any information about their company - just his card. He abruptly ended the walkthrough with "I will send an estimate later today." Their estimate was 100%+ (yes, double+) than all of the other quotes that I got. And the other companies were highly rated. When I questioned the quote, no one bothered to get back to me. I can only imagine what would happen on moving day!!!

I've been doing business with Anderson Brothers for many years, both for moving and storage, but an experience this week motivated me to write a review. My son's do-it-yourself moving truck fell through (tip: an online confirmation from a truck rental company does NOT mean they will have a truck for you when you show up) and even thought it was one of the biggest moving days of the year, Anderson Bros. came through for us. He had not packed for movers since he was expecting to just t do it with friends, but they accommodated everything, from unpacked lamps and a computer printer to guitar amps.

My son was out of his old apartment on time, and Anderson stored everything overnight for the move in the next morning. When the old tenants of the new apartment weren't out as agreed, AB's came back again the next day. They were on time and extremely helpful.

This three day moving challenge would have been a total nightmare without these guys. They could not have been more helpful, or careful with our things. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get in return. Everyone, from the office staff to the movers, gives excellent service.

We've also been very happy with their careful storage of family antiques.

I have used Anderson before on several occassions, both for myself and for clients. For this move, there weren't very many pieces, but the pieces were family heirlooms, and I advised the movers both beforehand and a couple of times during the move that I wanted the pieces treated like Faberge eggs because they were not replacable and had great sentimental value and that they should take their time (which I think is generous when you are paying by the hour). All went well until the move in when, despite warnings they were about to run in to a piece, they proceeded anyway and dinged one of the pieces; not badly, but enough. It's not a big deal, but I was disappointed. I would use again but I would recommend very active supervision by the homeowner to make sure that things don't get damaged in the process. My only complaint is the rough handling, but they responded positively when I raised it with the office (Victor), so I would give them another chance, as I have had terrible experiences with some other movers in the past and these guys are princes compared to them.

This is our family's third move using Anderson Bros. and we wouldn't have returned to them so many times if we didn't trust them with our possessions. You can probably find cheaper moving services out there, but I believe that with movers, quality is what you pay for and Anderson has not let us down. Mark, our move coordinator, was pro-active in reaching out to us to assess our needs and recommended we get "no parking" signs from the alderman's office ahead of our move, something we hadn't considered. On moving day, the four man crew took great care wrapping all of our furniture in blankets to ensure it wouldn't be damaged in transit. At our new place, we notified Mark that we just had the hardwood floors refinished and we were concerned about damage. The movers laid down rosin paper and cardboard to protect the flooring and it came through without any issues. During the move, Mark came by both our old and new place to check in and make sure everything was proceeding well. During the the unloading at the new place, Mark sent three additional guys to help (at no additional charge), as Anderson had booked another job in the evening and wanted to make sure they finished in time. The moving process can range from annoying to stressful to a giant pain in the $*#@#. We are very happy with Anderson Bros getting us through our third move with them and, while we hope we won't need a fourth move for a long time, would definitely use them again if we do.

They showed up on time and worked very steadily. Loading was easy; unloading was in the middle of a downpour and up three flights of stairs. One small item got wet, which I was not happy about at the time, but it dried out ok and would have been much worse with less carefull movers. The rain didn't slow them down. They dealt with some difficult personalities in the process. This is my third time using them; some of the same guys. Will use again when needed. Having four guys instead of three sure makes the move go faster. Be clear with them about from whom they should take direction in order to avoid confusion and hurt feelings.

They handled the furniture carefully; no damage. Not a whole lot to move, but some of it cumbersome and heavy. They are more expensive than some others, but I've used them three times with good results. Would use again.

They were terrific. They made it very easy. They knew the building I was moving into. They were easy to get a hold of. They had a lot of contacts there already.

I think that they were very organized movers and got everything done within a reasonable amount of time because of it. Also, damage was minimized for the same reasons. They were very helpful and respectful, both moving in and out. I would recommend them to anyone.

They gave an estimate, it was a little high, but it is a value considering the care they put into their work. It is a union shop, so the workers are being protected. They took excellent care of all my things.

I have always used another mover in the past, but the last job they did for me was not good, so I tried Anderson. They wrapped everything and moved quickly and were easy to communicate with. I haven't unpacked everything, but don't think anything was damaged. The only minor complaint is that they had to take the legs off a table to get it into the basement, but they didn't put them back on. I didn't notice until they were gone. Overall, a very positive experience.

My condo was freshly painted, and there was not one mark on any wall anywhere. They were amazing!! They were extremely punctual and efficient. Scheduling was easy, and the office staff was very helpful. I was so impressed. Movers are notoriously late, and they were professional, helpful, and did whatever I asked them with great attitude. I guess I may have found cheaper, but this is such a stressful experience, I think it is worth the money to feel confident and have things go so smoothly. These are union folks, so you know they have been around and know what they are doing. I would absolutely use them again, and I have recommended them to friends.

THE MOVE TOOK OVER SEVEN HOURS FOR ONE PERSON'S BELONGINGS IN A TWO BEDROOM. THE THREE MAN TEAM TOOK 10-15 MINUTE BREAKS BETWEEN LOADS WHILE I PAID OVERTIME. I AM CURRENTLY DISPUTING THE $1800 CHARGE AND VICTOR HAS YET TO GET BACK TO ME 4 WEEKS LATER. I USED ABM ON MY LAST MOVE AND THE COST WAS THE SAME, BUT THAT TIME THEY STORED MY BELONGINGS FOR A MONTH AND MOVED IT TWICE.
