American Bathtub Refinishing

Aron Bathtub does a beautiful job. Nice people, competitive pricing & the work they do is second to none. Can't recommend more highly.

As rental property owners we hired Aron (aka: American Bathtub Refinishing, ALS Bathtub Refinishing, Aron Bathtub Refinishing) to refinish two bathtubs.  Upon arrival he immediatly said that the tub (that ended up having issues), needed to be sanded, for an additional $100 ontop of his standard fee.  We agreed and the result looked fine.  One week later, someone stepped in the tub and the entire tub started peeling.  One was able to pul up entire sheets of paint like it was notebook paper.  We called Aron and he blamed it on the person who stepped in the tub, claiming that you shouldn't be stepping in the tub, and any scratches that result and the entier tub peeling are not his issue.  He refused to look at or attempt to correct the issue without another full cost of refinishing the tub.  We contacted another contracter who stated the tub was never fully sanded properly and was improperly finished as entier sheets of paint were peeling.  We contact Aron again, who refused to talk and hung up on us.
We don't mind paying extra for quality work (and he was more expensive than other quotes), but we will not work with dishonest contractors who claim they will stand by their work, but in the end, do not.  We own several rental properties and have extensive experience with contractors- Aron's Refinishing will never be used again and will never be recommended for future work, for our properties or others.
