They are wonderful. They are a family business. They also fixed a lock on my car 2 years ago.

The front door lock to our vintage condo building (approx 90 years old) was jammed; door could be opened from outside with a key, but could not be opened from the inside. Security and safety were compromised, so we needed immediate service. Even though I called on a Saturday afternoon, response was timely, with no additional weekend surcharge. When I called, I was advised that most likely the lock would have to be taken out of the door and brought in to the workshop for repair. Alberto came out several hours after I called and took the mechanism out of the door, and found part of an old broken key that had fallen into the mechanism. The key piece had apparently been there for a while, but had shifted down into the mechanism causing it to jam. After it was removed and the mechanism adjusted, he replaced it and made several more adjustments on the door overall to help with the smoothness of use. He even went over and above by replacing the inside doorknob, which had been stripped by amateur attempts at repair previously. Although it doesn't quite match the antique nature of the fixture, it WORKS, so we are very happy with the result. Aguilar and Sons is on our go-to list for future door/lock needs.

After a recent burglary, I was very concerned about quickly protecting two exterior doors. I was unable to get my local locksmith to do
anything for at least another day so I decided to try someone new. Aguilar is a family business. I spoke to one of the sons on the phone, told him what kind of locks I was looking for and got his advice about alternatives. Another brother came to my house a few hours later, as promised. He installed two high-quality deadbolts and the hardware was exactly as advertised, matching my other hardware and keyed correctly. I paid with acredit card and the price was reasonable. The installation was first rate - the operation of each Schlage lock set is really smooth and the keys work well. At a time when I was feeling a bit insecure, the Aguilar family
provided quick, professional service at a fair price. I plan to recommend them to anyone with locksmith needs.

It was late on a Saturday afternoon and I had a trunk full of groceries, when my 40 year old trunk lock broke. Three locksmiths told me they wouldn't do it (including highly rated Angie's List companies)before "Bert" willingly, pleasantly, and sympathetically jumped on the task. He was cautious not to scratch my car. I had a taco across the street while I waited. It was good too.

OUR BUILDING HAS USED THIS GUY FOR SEVERAL YEARS, WITH VERY GOOD RESULTS, BUT THE LAST TIME HE SENT HIS SON TO DO THE WORK. ONE OF THE LOCKS DIDN'T WORK AFTER HE LEFT; HE DIDN'T FOLLOW UP TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND WE HAD TO MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS. OUR PREVIOUS REPORT OF AN A WOULD HAVE TO BE DOWNGRADED TO A C.

HE HAS ALWAYS SHOWN UP WITHIN THE HOUR, AND IS THE FRIENDLIEST, MOST HELPFUL LOCKSMITH. HE COMES PREPARED (I.E., HAS EXTRA KNOBS AND LOCKS), HE LABELS KEYS, AND HE IS VERY POLITE.
