I called a few other electricians and they all said I needed to purchase an updated breaker box.  My husband asked them was the problem with the breaker box, and none of the companies were able to say yes.  They only said maybe or it could be.  I did not use those companies and began a new search. 
I found Alberto on the Angie's list and chose his company because it was close to my home.  I explained my electrical dilemma and he agreed to come out and give a free estimate.  When Alberto arrived at the agreed upon time, he switched the tripped breaker switch to the on position (as I had done many times and it would trip immediately) and the power came on and stayed on.   Alberto stated if we had any other problems to give him a call. 
Right after he drove off, the power tripped and stayed off again.  I called him and he immediately came back as he was only down the street.
He checked an outside electrical outlet in the front of my home that had an on/off  switch inside the house to see if there was a short and found no short.  My husband was trouble shooting with him.  My husband found the problem in our attic.  A loose screw had fallen into the thermal vent fan motor which caused the power in the home to short out whenever the fan would attempt to start up.  My husband relayed this o Alberto.  Alberto offered to replaced the screw and my husband decided that he would purchase and replace the entire unit.  Again, there was no charge since he was only down the street when we called him back and my husband found the problem. 
My husband purchased and installed a new fan and we have not had any problems since then.  I would definitely use Alberto again.  He never suggested we replace the circuit breaker box.  He was interested in finding out what the problem was instead of trying to convince us to purchase a new breaker box. Which in retrospect, getting a new box would not have solved our problems anyway.
We would definitely plan on using Alberto's services if ever needed in the future,.

Alberto is a perfectionist as shown in his demeanor, cooperation with me, willingness to make corrections and changes as they occurred and most especially in his layout and installation of recessed lighting in my living, dining, kitchen and family rooms. The layout and installation of recessed lighting in the family room was exceptionally challenging since there were living areas above the family room as well as numerous exhaust and heating ducts in the ceiling to contend with. His layout and installation of six recessed lights in this room as well as his ability to connect all of the whips together without drilling or cutting unnecessary holes in the finished ceiling and ceiling joists still amazes me. He also imparted several inside wiring tips which I have used and will continue to use in working on future wiring and minor electrical work which I have been doing myself.
